Great work from my labmates @SWM_Crossley @tenney_logan from @christhechang group about formate sensing. In this work, we in situ generate IrH using the Eschweiler-Clarke type reaction with formate, which reduce coumarin-based aldehyde for the ratiometric sensing of formate.

Making a new phosphine cat isn't easy. It is also near impossible to overcome steric issues that you’d better change the approach.
So I was relieved when saw a big product peak in NMR with the new cat. Glad to see this finally out. Congrats to the team.
