I disagree @scottmelker, ETH can hit $250k you're applying arguments against ETH that you don't apply to bitcoin, and that's exactly the point @mikemcg0 is making - be open to ETH as a SoV. if bitcoin can surpass the value of gold - then so can ETH. and the $250k outcome in the paper isn't a prediction, it's a statement of logic - if ETH is a civilizational store of value like gold, then the outcome is measured in the tens of trillions. no one saying it's easy, or immediate, or even assigning a probability to this outcome (that's for the market to decide). the paper just says - the menger money attributes are there, so be open minded to the possibility.

Better to keep Eth price stable. But then, the other narrative might be ETH is a programmable BTC, burning more tokens than. It issues?

@SimonKay100 @RyanSAdams @scottmelker @mikemcg0 When I looked at how much my ATH ETH holdings were, and compared it to my all time gas consumption, I realised I had bought 245years of usage. I sold it all the next day. There is no value capture for the token. The math works at 100x smaller valuations.

@scottmelker also, once you can "bet" BTC is going to 100k in 6 months, you've got Tax free "trading", much like Spreadbetting in the UK.

Prediction markets are obviously gambling.
