On this at the peak of Covid in 2020, we in Bengaluru City Police didn’t forget the thousands of unowned Canines of the City. Canine Kitchen was preparing food for 2000 of these under the supervision of the then DCP Divya Sarah Thomas and ACP Canine Squad Ningareddi Reddi Patil.
Bansuri Swaraj inaugurated a free, state-of-the-art animal hospital for the voiceless in Delhi Cantonment. @BansuriSwaraj said : "If any such bird, any such animal is found which, suppose by mistake has become a victim of accident, then don't leave the suffering one on the road. Bring it here, Free of charge treatment here will be given." CATTLE NUISANCE CONTROL DEPARTMENT (CNCD) Chief Minister ji, Home Minister ji, Do you think this is the right name for the department in a state where cow slaughter is banned and where the state has its own laws for the protection of cows? Cattle do not create a nuisance by themselves. It is a #humanmenace — it is humans who force them into this situation. • Who forces them to roam the streets? • Who fails to keep them until old age or sickness? • Who starves their male calves, lets them eat garbage, or sends them for illegal slaughter? • Who has no space to keep even 2 cows or buffaloes but still keeps 8–10? But they know that they are ruining their natural habit of grazing by tying them on a chain 24 hours a day, Hence they..... Merely restricting or banning slaughter is not true COW love. Giving them respect even when stray and care while they are alive, when they are no longer milk-producing machines — is real love. All Municipalities are insulting these animals by calling them a “nuisance”. Once again, getting cow slaughter banned across India is not enough.
