So, to summarise the Texas Cybertruck crash: FSD is flawless and never makes mistakes and The woman should have taken over it’s her fault But if it was flawless and not to blame there would be no need for her to take over and slam the brakes on…

@Exodus15_11 Imagine wanting to continue to see 42k fellow Americans die every year needlessly, because you don't like a software program. What a delusion. And what a murderous SOB.

@ZubyMusic I think it’s all of social media but I think the main problem stems from the algorithms and monetization that incentivize click bait and more extreme takes and arguments. It’s rare to find an argument on any topic that doesn’t come down to a binary with little nuance

It feels like the overall experience of social media has dropped significantly in the last few months. It's not unique to this platform, but all of the ones I use. Am I alone in this sentiment?

@Kerryburd @OutOfTheVines Good question. I just signed up yesterday so I am not 100% on the features but would assume games will be available live as well as later

Can someone explain the Prime thing to me like I’m 5 years old? I can subscribe directly to Marquee and use their app OR I can utilize my existing Prime membership to then… still subscribe to Marquee for the same price? I don’t really understand the point here.

🚨 Cubs baseball just got even easier to watch! Marquee is now available for @hulu + Live TV subscribers and on @PrimeVideo with a subscription. 🔗 bit.ly/marquee-on-hul…

@S_Beasley @OutOfTheVines It’s not an agreement with Prime to broadcast the games it just a convenience thing to be able to access Marquee outside of the Marquee app. Prime does this with other services as well

Plus I haven’t seen anyone point out that disengagement will cause the regen braking to kick in immediately and slow the vehicle down quickly. So the driver must have had the foot on the gas
JC Christopher@JCChristopher

@TheStreetsofATX If you disengage cruise control, and then hit the accelerator, that's on you. You can't sue someone for that. THAT'S the point!!!

Tesla fans using the “4-second disengagement” as a gotcha are missing the forest for the trees. Yes, the driver was technically in control of the vehicle at the moment of impact. But she was in control because FSD was already failing by driving too fast ahead of this sharp turn — it was heading straight into a concrete barrier at highway speed with no sign of correcting. Everyone who has frequently used FSD or Autopilot and paints this 4-second disengagement as a “gotcha” moment is being disengenous, and that includes Elon Musk. I have tens of thousands of miles on FSD, and I’ve experienced the system coming too fast into a turn at least half a dozen times. We’ve said this before and we’ll keep saying it: the problem with FSD isn’t what happens when the driver is paying attention and the system works. The problem is what happens when the system gives you every reason to trust it, and then suddenly doesn’t work. The driver has to recognize the failure, assess the situation, decide on a correction, and physically execute it, all in less time than the system needs to create the danger. Musk and Tesla’s propagandists can point to the logs all they want. The video shows what actually matters: FSD approaching a standard highway curve at full speed with zero indication it was going to navigate it. That’s the failure. Everything that happened after, including the panicked disengagement, is a consequence of that failure. The framing that this was “manual driving, not FSD” is technically true for the final 4 seconds and deeply dishonest about the full sequence of events. It’s exactly the kind of liability shell game that courts are increasingly rejecting, as that $243 million verdict makes clear. Tesla created the system, sold it as “Full Self-Driving,” and profits from the ambiguity. At some point, it has to own the consequences.

I used to LOVE March Madness… Took “sick days” every year on Thursday + Friday, posted at a bar with 4 screens all day. This year I don’t even care enough to fill out a bracket (but picking Michigan) Wtf happened… did I get older or did it just stop hitting the same?

How come girls never take just a normal picture of them smiling anymore? Why do they always have to be making some kind of quirky silly face? Honestly can’t figure this one out.

I see this take a lot and it seems like the most uncharitable take. To assume he doesn’t know the basics of the game is silly. It’s obvious that he was simply stating that if they had the lead going into the 9th that Miller would’ve been in there. One can disagree with that decision while also being charitable on his statement
Not Gaetti@notgaetti

Mark DeRosa’s brain was on another planet throughout the entire 2026 WBC. There’s no “had we taken the lead.” Team USA was the home team. If you “had taken the lead” in the 9th inning, the game would be over. There’s no situation where Miller could have pitched with the lead.

I respect his decision not to play. This is a bad look for Tarik Skubal. You chose not to play, dude. You left the team. You don't get to do all the cool stuff now. You're out. Team USA in the World Baseball Classic moved on without you. Get out of here. Go back to the Detroit Tigers.

Is Jonathan wrong to say you never let a pitch that's too close go by? 100% yes. He rightfully didn't apply this logic to his own career and was very successful because of it. Here's the 127 times Jonathan struck out looking. He struck out looking because he was a GOOD hitter who understood that you can't cover every single pitch to every single location with 2K and have a chance for success. You would LIKE to be able to do that. But its not practical. Good hitter's strikeout looking because they understand the goal is to score runs, not "not strikeout". And to do DAMAGE at the plate, you have to let some pitches go so you can whack the other ones. A common theme I see in former players is as they become further distanced from playing, they "misremember" the things they actually did. Would 2014 Lucroy have said you NEVER take a pitch that's too close for strike 3? Well he did so 12 times that year (because he's a good MLB hitter). I can't know what he would have said then, but it would have been fresher in his mind that he DID take pitches too close to take sometimes. #results" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">baseballsavant.mlb.com/statcast_searc…

Bottom of the strike zone is the bottom of the kneecap *in your stance*. For Perdomo, on that pitch, it was 1.67 feet. The pitch crossed the plate at 1.248 feet, 5.16in. below his zone. (Margin of error: 0.14in.) Stop contenting yourselves with speculation when we have truth.
