One thing that nobody seems to mention about Crimson Desert is that all the NPC interactions are animated properly!
They bring life to the scene!
Unlike many other games where the NPC is just talking standing still.
I wish KCD3 can have something like this!

Like you'd think Fromsoftware they lucked out with Demon's Souls when you listen to people then you play games like Otogi and you realize they always had it and their success didn't come from nowhere. They honed their craft for decades

The interesting thing about the game is that it is a mess. Its putting every mechanic and gameplay system it can into a singular game. I want to play even if its a disaster.
It won't be the best game ever. It might be a bad game. But its a game that seems to have a spark or some soul to it. Haven't had a game get my attention in years.
Dare I say it. It looks fun unlike games of the past 7 years.

@AndrosCrux @wwarrior_1 That first boss really put a sour taste in my mouth, he literally auto counters every attack even after a dodge. He has a moment where he attacks and his axe is stuck in the ground and if you attack it automatically just flies up into position to block. It’s fucking cancer.

@JeremyPenter Just rolled credits on Crisol, a resident evil/bioshock style game that I enjoyed thoroughly. The narrative peppers in reveals throughout that kept things interesting and had a final reveal that re-contextualizes your role. And it’s only $20 so ups for that

@LocalBtnMasher Imo power fantasy works the best when you're desperately weak at the beginning, if you start off powerful then get even stronger, then there's no contrast whatsoever. King's Field II was really good, you'd get bullied, softlocked, but you'd come back until you got better.
