@LalitKModi @narendramodi @IPL what do you think? why haven't the billionaires not been able to crack quality merchandising yet? that's a low-hanging fruit compared to infrastructural problems.

It would catapult INDIA OUR NATION @narendramodi dream to make India into the worlds best sporting nation. What can be better then to invest in something that is already globally no 1. That’s @IPL - only two things lacking and I would humbly say NO 1 - the single most important things is FAN EXPERIENCE. For that NONE of existing stadiums can however cosmetic changes you do - you will not achieve global standards. A modern stadium costs not less then 400-800 million dollars in construction and fit out alone. No 2 - Quality merchandising
Ragav X@ragav_x

IPL founder Lalit Modi slams Indian stadiums as outdated and unfit, says BCCI needs to demolish each and every existing venue. Cites his 2010 study submitted to BCCI flagging most stadiums as unfit, with little change since. Adds even new venues are far behind modern football and World Cup standards, offering barely 10% of global fan experience. Believes with 50% revenue from 6 Billion dollar media rights, up to 80% should be reinvested into building world-class stadium infrastructure. @LalitKModi

I'll die on that hill to say India has no shortage of talent at the youth level, but gets overlooked and deteriorates as they age because of the lack of development & corruption from the federation. @IndianFootball

Heartiest congratulations to the players of Minerva Academy FC for their spectacular 6-0 victory over Liverpool FC’s academy at the MIC Cup 2026 in Spain. Our very own Wahengbam Raj Singh scored a brilliant hat-trick, showcasing exceptional skill and talent, while fellow Manipuri player Lisham Amarson Singh contributed with a well-taken goal. You boys have made the entire nation proud with your outstanding skill, determination and indomitable spirit. Wishing you all the very best for your next match and continued success in the tournament.

Aside, the Minerva set-up appears to be top. A quick look into it and not only do you see a genuinely impressive level of football but a backdrop of passion and excitement surrounds this. It is pretty obviously not by chance, but years of work. Future of Indian football.

When crude prices were low, petrol prices in India were still kept high, which included 45–60% in taxes depending on the state, making it ₹20–30 per litre costlier than gasoline in the United States. So with due respect to the point raised by the Hon. Minister of PNG, any discussion on price “stability” should acknowledge that the base price was already significantly high.
Hardeep Singh Puri@HardeepSPuri

International crude prices have gone through the roof in the last 1 month from around 70 dollars/barrel to around 122 dollars/barrel. Consequently, petrol and diesel prices for consumers have gone up all over the world. Prices have increased by around 30%-50% in South East Asian countries, 30% in North American countries, 20% in Europe and 50% in African countries. The Modi Government had two choices- either increase prices drastically for citizens of Bharat as all other nations have done or bear the brunt on its finances so that Indian citizen is insulated from international volatility. Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji, in keeping with his Government’s commitment of last 4 years since the conflict in Russia-Ukraine started, decided to take a hit on its own finances again to safeguard the Indian citizen. Government has taken a huge hit on it taxation revenues to ensure very high losses of oil companies (approximately 24 Rs/litre for petrol and 30 Rs/litre for diesel) at this time of sky high international prices are reduced. At the same time, export tax has been levied as international prices of petrol and diesel have skyrocketed and any refinery exporting to foreign nations will have to pay export tax. My gratitude to Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi Ji and Hon’ble FM @nsitharaman Ji for this very timely, bold and visionary decision!

Crude was at $60–70 for years, yet Indians paid record-high fuel taxes. Now at $122, we’re told the govt is “sacrificing” revenue. You can’t pocket windfalls when prices fall and claim sainthood when they rise. Relief isn’t generosity, it’s returning what was overcharged. Economic policy is not a devotional exercise. It deserves scrutiny, not applause emojis.

This is original bids for @IPL that were awarded on 24th January 2008 in mumbai at cricket center at 12:00 pm. The bids were converted into rupees on that day. One dollar was 40 rupees on that morning. So one can just judge the true value appreciation today. 🙏🏽 further the amount bid was spread out to be paid evenly over 10 years. Many teams were in profit post year one itself. So the amount came out of their cash flow. So value appreciation is far greater than what the media conceives it to be. Actual numbers each team spent to buy the team will show up only in company filings with registrar of the company. So check that for accuracy and true value appreciation.

Raksha Mantri ji, please leave it. All you care about is reading speech scripts made by babus and then leaving. BJP govt is not serious about defence R&D whether engines or jets. The problems are solvable, the real issue is lack of intent. Time se funding tak nahi aati and big Imports are still being done. Ab 6th gen collaboration ke liye platform set karlo.

@yohohohoyohoh @INIESTAISM @the_hindu you’re framing it as if the bill is “against trans people" it’s an amendment to an existing law. and how gender status is determined (self-declaration vs. requiring medical/legal verification), not about denying basic rights. so no one is against the trans people

@RahulChels > so basically now nobody has the legal right to self-identify your gender, will require medical proof instead > it excludes gender fluid or self-perceived identities that don't fit the biological markers (outrage)
