I’ve had no real older generation mentors. The one person I thought I could rely on betrayed me, even though he gave me some good knowledge, the others really didn’t care. They all knew the ship is sinking and just didn’t care.

the clock is ticking for public school because public school kids get sick so often (which is one of the few childhood interventions that can, in extreme cases, have permanent effects into adulthood). So table stakes here is public schools need to offer benefits to offset a couple severe illnesses per child…

@GC_Strategos The exact opposite in my family. We were all encouraged (all 9 of us kids) to earn our own money and teach us the value of that money at a very young age.
