I was simply pointing out the fact that it was still a shootout since both side fired shots. A shootout doesn't imply that Smith is guilty, it just says the fact that he shot back.

@ThoughtfulSaint I don't think as many people are denying it being an unjustified murder, it absolutely was. Where I think the challenge is on whether or not Joseph Smith's death meets the standard of Martyrdom or not which is more questionable.
