@fentrocity @acekingspades @GeorgeSwooney @SkyPointSteve @UziCryptoo It’s a hypothetical to where you could pay cash as easily as auto pay. The psychology of it, is the point. I know for me I would spend at least 25% less. It’s basically the Ramsey is trying to make. But younger people who knows?
English

@Hendricks_dc @acekingspades @GeorgeSwooney @SkyPointSteve @UziCryptoo You’d spend less because Netflix doesn’t take cash (at least easily). 😉 The friction added to subs and online purchasing would actually make a difference.
English

CALLER: I put $3,000 worth of monthly expenses on my credit card and pay off in full. I get 2% cash back, so that's $60 back every month.
DAVE RAMSEY: Get rid of the card. You're telling me that you spend $3,000 on a high interest credit card, just to get $60? That's not how you get rich!
CALLER: I don't pay interest, I pay it off every month and get $60.
DAVE RAMSEY: Get rid the card, use debit cards ONLY!
CALLER: So give up the $60 I get back monthly?
DAVE RAMSEY: That's not how you get rich!
In reality, if you are resposible, USE credit cards. It's not just cash back. It's also liability protection.
Every dollar matters.

@fentrocity @acekingspades @GeorgeSwooney @SkyPointSteve @UziCryptoo I often wonder what would happen if I lived in two parallel universes for a year—one where I pay cash for everything (bills, Netflix, all of it), and another where I use a credit card for every purchase. What would the difference be?
English

@Hendricks_dc @acekingspades @GeorgeSwooney @SkyPointSteve @UziCryptoo Sure, I think that’s reasonable. Especially with cash. I think debit/credit is the same psychological experience after you have enough cash in the bank.
English

@fentrocity @acekingspades @GeorgeSwooney @SkyPointSteve @UziCryptoo All the people saying DR is wrong are talking about rent and food. DR is talking about when you’re buying shoes and see “second pair 50% off.” Credit card? Easy yes. Cash? “Nah, I don’t need that second pair.”
English

@acekingspades @GeorgeSwooney @SkyPointSteve @UziCryptoo Do spending habits fundamentally change for people with plenty of cash in the bank to cover what they are spending on? I could see your argument being generally true for people waiting on their next paycheck to pay off the card.

@Jeremyinakron17 @unteachableone @HustleBitch_ He tells a story about how Trump was trying to pull him in on the famous Trump handshake. Hamm said I am 6'2 220lbs you aren't gonna pull me in, etc...

@Alexand51765203 @CommonSense502 @jonbrooks I thought it was a pretty well known fact that a lot of police forces have guys who are 80-100% disabled according to the military. But if you qualify to work for a job like police or UPS, it doesn’t matter.
English

@CommonSense502 @jonbrooks Why don't you turn him in to the OIG anonymous fraud hotline?
English

Spoke to an RN that approves VA disability.
She says she thinks that 80% of it is fake.
Veterans can come in and say they have tension headache or their back hurts, and are coached by attorneys, and they get up to 100% disability, including not paying property tax and getting $4-5k/month from the government — when in reality they’re completely fine.
In fact, the RNs are paid an incentive via quotas to diagnose veterans with a disability and paid less if they don’t.
I’m not saying there aren’t people who legitimately don’t have disabilities from serving our country, but folks who have never seen combat and are literally sitting at desks are getting 100% disability.
It’s pretty insane. Does that make you mad?
What if you could get the same disability working for a company?

@IshySids @CNviolations Nah he is just trying to annoy his big sister. Not sure why everyone doesn’t realize they are siblings.

@RealSigmaMale25 @TalkinBaseball_ @McKenzieMNelson Baseball players the majority of time play night games. Then they go home and play video games all night or go out and about. Wednesday game was at 1:10pm. Probably supposed to be there at 9:00am. Probably has just fallen asleep.
English

@TalkinBaseball_ @McKenzieMNelson How do you oversleep for a baseball game dude

“You got a 36-year-old catcher who’s preparing to DH then his world gets a little rocked… We’re glad Carter’s okay. That was the initial thought when trying to get a hold of his parents." -Vinnie Pasquantino after Royals rookie Carter Jansen overslept

@JoshuaArieh @dankness3 You mean the finish glamorizing a serial pedofile and rapist?

Raise your hand if you went to this game.

Today in 2000, Enron Field opens with an exhibition game between @Astros and Yankees.

@NotKennyRogers @theaceofspaeder It was my 10th birthday and we were walking home and everyone talking to me and then the crossing guards told us the president got shot. Ruined everything. 😂

Jordan Walker is doing his best to make us all believe again.
Could the breakout finally happen this year?

@RamonesFan41 @uniformcritic So the guy who taught Mike Scott the split finger? Also believed he was cheating?
English

@Hendricks_dc @uniformcritic Roger Craig thought so too.

@JoeCutrufo @astros @DaikinPark @SpaceCityWX This is the clause they always use. I believe it was the case for Saturday night game. “Threat of excessive wind above 20 mph sustained during the game window.”

@allie__voss Mid-90s: I showed up to the airport a day early. Gate agent says, “This ticket is for Monday.” I say, “My bad.” He shrugs, stamps it, hands it back: “You’re good for today.” Then adds, “Also… first class.” Different era.
English

As someone who never experienced airports before 9/11...was there truly NO security? Like you could just walk wherever like a train station?
Sean T at RCP@SeanTrende
Dropped my son off for an unaccompanied minor flight and they give you a gate pass so parents can take them to the gate. You have to sit and wait until the plane takes off. Nostalgic, because this is how it always was for flights until 9/11. You always sat and saw family off.
English

@RamonesFan41 @uniformcritic Mike Scott primary accusers were the 86 Mets. Dykstra, Backman and company all model citizens.
English

@uniformcritic That Astros team was very good. Mike Scott is still a cheater!!! 😆
English

@SneakieNesie @JoshuaArieh Do you think it’s about guys with massive egos and extreme competitiveness who can’t let go enough to allow someone else to drive (driver or uber, etc) when they’re drunk? Like it feels less embarrassing to do it themselves, even though lives and reputations are at stake.
English

@JoshuaArieh That’s nice of the officer but why doesn’t Tiger hire a driver and avoid putting others at risk instead of drinking and driving?
English

@vlad001 @theparthrastogi He definitely meant 1950’s not 1990’s.
English

@theparthrastogi GenX definitely wasn't getting married at 21 and having 4 kids. Have you never watched Friends?
