@1AIqjKlIBl9n2jU @excalipermx I think most overseas fans would gladly accept. Western companies however would not. If they see someone try to sell a fan work, they will immediately send a "cease and desist", and threaten a lawsuit.

なるほどなあ……。 ちょっと”エロゲー”に絞った観点から語らせてもらうと、もう旧作過ぎて最新のOSで動かないゲームは”割って”も良いよね？って考えに繋がりかねないから、今回のスペインの人達の行動はかなり危険であると言える。 しかしね、これワシのDiscordの知り合いにも何人かこういう考えを持っている人がいるんじゃが「割れ行為があったから国際的に知名度が上がり売上に繋がった」と思っている人がいるんじゃよ。 確かにそうかもしれないけど、でも「お前が金を払わず割れ行為をする理由にはならない」って返答しておるのじゃよ。 今回の場合は、スクエニがサ終した基本無料のソシャゲの海賊版を”海外の有志”が”作品の保存”という正義の名の下で堂々と公開に至ったというのが大問題。 まあ、そりゃ日本人の大多数はブチ切れるじゃろうなあと思ったら案の定。 もし日本の作品でそれをやりたかったら、血眼になって権利者を探して、提示された金を払う、話はそれからじゃ。 ってのが一般的なので、このケースは文化の違いがモロに出たパターンと言い切って良いじゃろう。 じゃが、日本人の過激派の「流石スペイン、他国から奪う事は十八番ですね」みたいな挑発的な物言いには賛同出来ないがの。

If a manga goes out of print, should you burn the books you've already read, or maybe just the ones you bought but haven't read yet? Or maybe if a company goes bankrupt before you finish their game, should you uninstall it?

@takoguraburu2 @Pugnus_Simia @magozone23 Everyone here didn't read the GitHub it seems... There is no overhead costs. This isn't a private online server. Each person who plays the game must have their own, offline server that they run themselves. There is no online aspect and no costs to anyone.

There's such a different response to this from Japanese fans and everyone else, most people are happy about a dead game being brought back by the community. But I've seen a bunch of Japanese fans angry about this because it goes against the wishes of Square Enix.

@LoneFeesh I can understand your hardness I tried pronouncing 誤解 and 後悔 a moment ago, I feel that if I am a basic JP learner I wouldn't be able to distinguish them

I can't distinguish between ‘a’ and ‘our’ by listening I can't distinguish between ‘words’ and ‘worlds’ by listening

@HayaseMotors 誤解　and 後悔　often. Especially when the person speaking is talking fast. The difference between something like きょ and きょう is oftentimes hard to catch too. I know there's a couple more I have trouble with often but can't remember them off the top of my head though.

@LoneFeesh Are there any words you've found difficult to distinguish?
