Every time I see people here in Nicaragua dreaming of a better life in Europe...
It makes me very melancholic.
I used to grow up in that great Europe, safe, beautiful, full of history and legacy.
I traveled to over 20 countries in the region back then.
Today's people dreaming of a better life in Europe haven't received the message yet... that dream is over.
Life here in Nicaragua is 100x better.
Yes, less wealth and opportunities.
But you can spend time with friends and family, safely and calm.
They have no idea how valuable this truly is.
Going to the supermarket, all smiles and friendly people.
No one shouting at you, no one trying to stab you with a knife from behind, no one running cars into crowds. They don't know what's happening in Europe.
The fear, the frustration... girls being gang raped to be set free and the victims being charged for cursing at the rapists. There is so much unbelievable things happening, people here just can't imagine. They are dismantling society by design.
Once I visited Germany and I was only couple trains away from a guy who ran through a train cutting people with an axe.
The horror is real.
God bless the amazing people of Nicaragua for being so awesome.
I don't want to destroy their dream of a better life elsewhere.
But it's no more.
Nicaragua is still a high trust society without harsh rules. Basically unheard of in today's world.

Got sued.
Not my normal PolyMarket post. But so wild I had to share, long story but worth it.
I have a lot of businesses. One, is car dealerships, have a few.
Sold a girl with rougher credit a Black Jaguar. She had bought a car from us previously but had wrecked it and needed a new one.
Breaks were squeaking so we replaced them with brand new rotors and pads from jaguar. This was over a year ago.
Got served yesterday.
The owner of the jaguar was driving, at 3am. She lost control, hit the embankment and flipped the car. Car landed upside down. Her and her friend, were unhurt.
They got out of the car, unharmed. And decided to go back into the car.. upside down on the freeway to get their stuff out.
A truck came around the bend and hit the car with both women inside it. Killing the passenger and severely injuring the driver.
Passenger was tested, had multiple drugs and alcohol in her system. Driver, for god knows what reason, was never tested.
Our lawsuit is wrongful death. We are being sued.. by the driver, for wrongful death... of her friend. Not her relative, not her kid, her friend.
The claim is the brakes we put on over a year ago (and by the way 20,000 miles ago), that were oem parts... that were fine for a year and tons of miles... somehow caused her to lose control and flip the car.
The absolute insanity is beyond me. We have another lawsuit going on just as bonkers.

Brian Armstrong explains how he built Coinbase on nights and weekends while working at Airbnb Brian first advises those who are currently employed to not build your project on company hours or on your company laptop: “If you build it on company time or on the company hardware, the company probably owns the IP.” Then he describes his schedule for working on Coinbase while still working full-time at Airbnb. “I would often work [at Airbnb] until 7pm. I’d come home, eat dinner, and then I would work from 8pm to midnight. I would do that maybe 3-4 days a week on weekdays. And then on the weekend I’d work Sunday afternoon for 7-8 hours.” Brian did this consistently for about a year and a half until Coinbase was far enough along for him to get seed funding from Y Combinator. “It sucked. I mean I was tired after the full day of work [at Airbnb]. But this is where determination comes in… At that moment in time, I was in my late 20s, and I was like, ‘I really want to try to build something important in the world.’” When asked how he maintained friendships during this time, Brian replies: “I was pretty intense about it. I would say I sacrificed friendships for it. It’s not like I was just never responding to people, but I’ve seen this happen to various people. They get to a certain point in their life. Sometimes they turn a certain age where they thought they would have more done by then or maybe someone in their family passes away and they’re like, Oh my god, time is finite. It’s precious. And something happens where they’re like, ‘I’m going to get this done, no matter the cost.’” Brian tells those out there who might be in a similar situation: “Go hard at it. Finish your book. Launch your thing.
