What’s the problem with what @PaulineHansonOz is doing? Why isn’t she entitled to freedom of choice? What’s to stop us all buying full face burqas to avoid facial recognition technology? Or to avoid awkward situations? Or to go in to the toilets? And there’s nothing to stop men or women wearing burqas because guess what - anyone apparently can identify as any gender, at any time Don’t you think this is dangerous? And that is exactly the point Pauline is making. Burqas are not a religious requirement, yet full face coverings pose many risks Perhaps the best thing that can happen is everyone starts running around in burqas. Then perhaps the Senate may allow at least a conversation about this.
