Can an invariant point not be part of a shape or its image after a transformation? Came across a GCSE paper where the invariant point is the centre of rotation but that point isn’t on either object or image.

@Sheena2907 Sometimes teachers get bogged down with resources and forget to ‘plan’ their questions around them. Sometimes it’s not what give you a student, but what you ask them too.

Would we doing a disservice if we tried to be as honest and optimistic as possible (trying to maintain integrity? Do the universities know that they are inflated? What happens to the conditional offers not met?

By November of Year 13, you have the "target" grade (made up by a computer based on GCSE grades profile), the "mock" grade based on the most recent exam, the "predicted" grade, and the UCAS grade (NOT a prediction)

Hi all, any maths hods or ks5 coordinators out there have knowledge/experience/guidance of generating final A level maths predicted grades for year 12 students who have sat an AS paper? E.g. does a B in as maths suggest a B in a level maths? @robotmaths @mathsjem @Whitehughes 🙂

@MrDepala @robotmaths @mathsjem @Whitehughes So here goes: using past cohorts data we now have 2 years worth. Soon to be 3. We use a line of regression against UMS at AS and A-Level. This we then use as a starting point to “predict” A-Level UMS from AS. Caveats: Large cohorts >70 , similar intakes, not solely based on this.
