Train #07076 halted indefinitely. Train already late by 12 hrs. Is anyone even looking?
I was charged extra fare for the "special train"! Should this train not be handled on priority?
Should passengers stand up to protest?

@RailwaySeva @BhopalDivision Train #07076 now again halted at Itarsi Jn since 30 min. Absolute disregard for passenger. Train now late by 750 min. Average speed less than 40 kmph. Shame on #IndianRailways.

@SrDOMBPLWCR @BhopalDivision @RailwaySeva Train now delayed by 700 min. So not making up. Also, it was waiting outside Bhopal Jn for 50+ min even when multiple platforms were vacant. Train moved only after registering complaint.
Please show proof that the platform/segment was occupied during that period.

Uber is in the business of making a profit. It is hard to keep bus fares affordable and still make a profit. Raise the fares a little, and travel by motorbike becomes cheaper.

In #Indore, demand is ~10k pphpd—perfect for BRT. But they never ran enough buses: 50 planned in 2009, now it should’ve been 100+, yet only 35 operate
Now you’re replacing it with flyover just 5k pphpd capacity. The irony is painful

That's entirely wrong assessment. #BRT is meant to increase capacity where roads r narrow.
Removal of BRT in #Indore simply represents poor understanding of #UrbanTransport & lack of leadership.
My simple Q:
In 3yrs, flyover will have traffic jams, will the Mayor pull it down?

Indore joins the list of cities dismantling its Bus Rapid Transit System(BRTS). BRTS was touted by lot of urban planners as model for urban mobility (remember couple of IIT profs even pitching it in Delhi as an alternative against metro)
Perhaps the truth is that BRTS works on paper, not in cities where lanes are few, lane enforcement tend to be very weak, and mixed traffic is chaos. So BRTS kind of initiatives done to decongest often ends up choking roads.
