I am a Christian, and I have two daughters. Both my daughters attend public school. When my daughters were old enough to go to school I felt so much pressure from the Christian culture to homeschool them. I went to public school and had a really good experience, but everyone was treating public school like it was the devils playground. I tried to homeschool my oldest in preschool and I realized how terribly unequipped I was to teach. I didn’t have the discipline, nor the mental capacity to teach from home. I think public school is great. The teachers are all so intentional, the school counselors are lovely, and their principal remembers their names and things about them. We are very involved parents. We go on field trips, take them to school events, and go to all their conferences. Honestly, public school gets way too much hate.

These podcast wars are embarrassing. Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro, Candace Owens... What are we, toxic mean girls in high school? These vulgar ad hominems being hurled back and forth by leaders of the conservative movement…I still have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. They never mention the substance on which they disagree. We in the conservative movement—especially in the media—are supposed to be thought leaders. And when you’re a thought leader, you are supposed to persuade people about why your position is best. That's your job. That's my job. We are supposed to challenge and dismantle ideas that are bad, dangerous, and wrong. But is that what we're doing? No, that's not what we're seeing here. The biggest voices on the Right are acting like a nasty episode of Real Housewives. What’s next? Pulling hair extensions and scratching? This is not the highest and best use of our platforms, voices, and this influence that we have been afforded. The midterms are around the corner and the only group being helped by these petty, superficial, juvenile spats are the Democrats. We are facing an ACTUAL crisis in our nation that everyone is ignoring because they're addicted to drama. We have ONE CHANCE at mass deportations. ONE CHANCE. And we're squandering it because the leaders of the movement would rather… beef?

@ShadowlandBlog Jesus was speaking of earthly judges, specifically the Jewish judges. The closer I got with God, the more LDS theology made me very uncomfortable and I had to renounce it. You're right,I needed to undo a lot of programming in order to see the truth for what it is (John 8:32).

It's terrifying seeing the amount of LDS who have a god-complex and think they can do no wrong because "their church is the one true church". Not much room for humility. They'll become gods of their own and create whatever they want, even in direct opposition to God's truth.

@iiTzz_Tyrell Had this convo with my son yesterday. Told him that while that is indeed flawed thinking, he still needs to make an effort to wear a shirt and tie because of social/cultural cues and to avoid the reality of judgmental people.

I use to think growing up, he’s wearing Nike shoes to church? He’s in jeans? No tie? Not a white dress shirt? I’ve realized as I’ve gotten older that that is such flawed thinking. The only thing that matter is they are attending and trying. Because I know that I’m doing my best, and that’s all we can ask for.
