@BlackDumpling I mean, she's not the standard stereotypical beauty as far as facial features are concerned. But I think titties and charisma make up for that, and also that the fact that "standard stereotypical facial beauty" gets boring if you have too much of it. Variety is nice.

Everyone is enamored with Sydney Sweeney because she's the only one. She's it. She's all they've been offered. Because, who else is there?

Jacob 2:24 says David and Solomon truly had many wives and concubines. For context, David sinned with Bathsheba (adultery) and Solomon sinned by marrying outside of Israel and turning to other gods. D&C says they did not sin except in that which was not given them. So if there were any concubines or wives given to David not mentioned in the Bible, who were not given to David by God, then that would be an issue. The issue, both in the BOM and the D&C, is going outside of that which is given you by God - which is verified by the clause later in Jacob 2 in which God says "unless I command it" (paraphrasing there). In a nutshell - if God says you can have more than one, you can. If he says you can't, you can't. That's really about it. I think there were a lot of people in the old days who did abuse their women or were just bad husbands and didn't manage polygamy well. History is full of unfairness and oppression of women. But I don't think that makes Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and others unrighteous because they had more than one wife. That is for the anti-polygamy crusaders to explain away.

well, it says Lamech was in league with Satan, but to be fair, it doesn't explicitly mention it was the first polygamous marriage, even if you could choose to interpret that it might infer that by being I guess the first verse to mention it. But that is still an inference based on interpretation. It does say they will raise up righeous seed differently, but the BOM does explicitly give an "unless I command it" clause to polygamy.
