@Shizzy_Gamer @vec0zy Maybe, the same as 90% of the population. If this is bad, please explain why.

Nick Khami@skeptrune
claude has started to get really damn good at design. this is impressive

I think that you have never seen a dogshit design before.
This type of design would be something companies pay designers to create.
Maybe if you're an expert designer, it doesn't look like something you would design. But normal people will not see a difference between this and what you call a good design. Whatever that is.
And you don't design for other designers, only for normal people.

@illnevercallitx Bro's complaining about america while his country gets invaded by refugees 🤡

This one seems to be going places so I'll just say a few things about myself. I'm a German citizen with an American fiancee that's eventually gonna move to Germany.
I'm increasingly concerned about the direction the USA is moving into. I'm an atlanticist and I really hope that Europe and the US are gonna be able to normalize their relations again in a post Trump world. We people in Europe know that the next 2.5 years are gonna be difficult but we know that better times are coming.

@Officialwhyte22 Well don't post the last 4 of their CC numbers ya fackin idiot. Just as bad as her for that

I have no issues with people who vibe-code but when developers use it to build e-commerce websites or sites that store client personal information, that’s where problems can start.
I recently reached out to a developer on TikTok to inform her about a vulnerability I discovered in one of her projects. Surprisingly, she didn’t seem to take it seriously and even dismissed the idea that hacking vulnerabilities like this exist.
After that, my team (@hack_ademy) investigated further and found that the AI-generated code had created an unsecured database viewer intended for client use. This exposed sensitive data. We were also able to query the sql db through the terminal.
We’ve since contacted her again, explaining the issue and showing the specific security flaws in the AI-generated code, We received a response and she promised to patch before April 2nd.
Devs, when coding a site that will hold customer information be careful.
I do not condone ruining anyone’s business or spoiling anyone’s name but the right thing must be done!

It’s a good question, but it’s not necessarily just the email app that is broken, but email as a tool that was developed as an incomplete technology. Not to mention the inherent lack of security of email as a format (tracking can be embedded, encryption is superficial etc.), the tool also compounds the worst paradigms in an interface.
While the mental model is derived from the experience of receiving a letter albeit digitally, the experience is sorely lacking. We have extensive and convoluted lists (inbox content) that are ‘resolved’ by simplistic categorisations.
We have incoherent distinctions between spam mail & junk mail, but no simple way to prevent the onset of either, a problem that is solved in the physical by a simple ‘No Junk Mail’ sticker on your mailbox.
The digital nature of email should allow for more expressive and personalised communication. However, the format is sorely limited to rich text and imagery, losing the creative and intimacy of a handwritten letter or a postcard etc., all of which are easily possible in the physical (the mental model email is building on). It’s funny since it’s a digital medium, I should effectively be able to do anything! Draw on a canvas, embed imagery and video at angles & unbounded, and not just as attachments, insert background music, easily customisable email styles/themes etc.
By the end of all this, you gain a system that forces you to spend more time engaging with a screen, receiving content in a format worse than a physical letter, with a less immediate distinction between useful & junk content, in a fundamentally less content rich medium.
I like the idea of re exploring ‘email’, but for me the question becomes:
If email had never existed, and you were to create it from scratch TODAY, what would it look like and how would it work?
The answer in short is that every single thing about email today should be fundamentally different.

What it's like being married to a 160+ IQ person:
Sipping coffee and checking on our plants in the garden (our normal routine)...
Mike: "Oh, I figured out how plants grow." Proceeds to give the best explanation ever, something I'd never heard or thought about in my life, even as a plant lover.
His brain is always working and discovering new things, not just about coding and software, but about everything around him.
He calls it First Principles thinking. He is amazing at ignoring all assumptions and conventions.

@NidaKirmani Stupid cunt. How do you think you even know if it's AI?
Newsflash, AI will be adopted globally and will replace all of us.

@Pirat_Nation i loathe, absolutely everyone, who ever focuses on pointless factors like this in a game.
you are the reason why they put 80 points into graphics, and 20 into gameplay/story.

My high school neighbourhood just elected a local 59yo councilwoman who campaigned in the local paper with an AI photo. Her statement: ‘I used an internet program to enhance the image because the resolution of the photo was bad. It’s simply my photo, that really is me. I use medication that’s why I look a bit different now. But yes, I do look much younger than my age. When I’m out with my son people think I’m his girlfriend. I hear that I look super young for my age all the time.’

@tiggr_ Hi, can we ever expect any news on a proper server browser and persistent servers? I dont want to use portal, I just want to play the game normally like the old days. Cheers!

@Grady_Booch @ssskryl @Jason Yeah go ahead and define it please. If his definition is wrong, then you would have to prove it for any sane person to understand your reasoning.
Truth is, he's right and humans are too slow to realize the exponential curve we're in.

Here’s the truth: we’ve already reached AGI — we just haven’t implemented it broadly.
Millions of jobs are being lost as we speak.
Entire careers will be retired.
The rich and powerful investors and founders who implement AGI will get bizarrely rich beyond what makes sense. It will break people's brains on both sides.
It’s gonna suck for a lot of our friends and family, who aren’t obsessed with their careers, because things are moving so fast they won’t have even left the starting gate by the time the awards are handed out.
We’re gonna have to solve for a lot of second- and third-order effects, some of which will suck (job loss) and some of which will be awesome.
AI will create free/cheap energy, free education, cheaper and better food, homes that build themselves and medicine that makes you as healthy as a 30-year-old when you’re 100.
… change is hard, but humans are the most adaptable species nature has ever created.
We can figure it out.

@Erdayastronaut @GothamKnowledge It's hard to care about shit like this when I hardly have money and AI is slowly going to replace me. I pay 1800 in income tax a month.
It's neat, but I do not care.

@GothamKnowledge The Apollo Program took place during some of the most tumultuous times in US history w/ the Vietnam War & Civil Rights Movements. Looking back, it was a bright light in otherwise uncertain times. I chose to cherish these moments, because it can be a beacon of hope for humanity.

@Shpigford @hemalitanna @claudeai Hi. Try codex with some frontend tasks. I prefer claude but must admit codex helped me get my UI to the state I *really* was aiming for.

@hemalitanna @claudeai meh. i still vastly prefer claude over codex.

@TomGotTwitteer @MoeCanDoIt Did you have your source code in github at least? Or at least a previous commit you could start from again?
I commit frequently, and push frequently so I can easily recover from critical issues like that without wasting time with its delusions.

It erased an entire section of a site we were building. Then falsely tried to help me fix it for five hours until finally admitting that he erased the core code and that it lied to me for the last four hours trying to cover up its mistake.
It’s like dealing with the fucking six-year-old we could’ve rebuilt it and just saved me that four or five hours trying to fix the problem….
