The virtue of courage. Today, this 9/11 anniversary, is especially heavy for all of us. We lost Charlie yesterday to evil on live TV, and today we mourn the lives of 3,000 souls taken from us by evil 24 years ago on live TV. In that heavy loss, though, weโ€™re taught again a virtue that many of us have lost: the virtue of courage. Charlie embodied this virtue of courage in how heโ€”without apologyโ€”spoke his mind, spoke up for the values that were the rudder of our nationโ€™s founding, shined light on the injustices perpetrated against the vulnerable in our communities, and shared his love for Jesus with a broken world. Likewise, on 9/11, we saw play out in the beating of every minute the courage of firefighters and police officers rushing into buildings to save those they did not know, knowing it would be their last act on this earth. We watched, as Father Mychal Judgeโ€™s body was carried from the Tower rubble where he prayed with first responders in the tower lobby, death all but certain for him. We heard, through a wifeโ€™s phone call to her husband on the last flight he would be on, as Tom Beamer mustered the courage to storm the cockpit and crash the plane, ending his life but saving hundreds more. In this life, itโ€™s easy to shrink away and give into fear. It feels safe, and it is safe. But you will remain dormant, unchallenged, and unchangedโ€”as will those around you. And the world will be no more changed for it. Maya Angelou and Charlie both loved how Aristotle spoke of courage. He said that courage is the mother of all virtues because without it, you cannot consistently perform the other virtues. Without courage, one may falter and abandon all other virtues like kindness, fairness, justice, and generosity when faced with difficulty or fear. You need courage to be disliked when speaking truth as others around you falter. What we can do, especially today to honor the courage of those we have lost, is to rediscover the virtue of courage. To have the courage to speak your mind. To have the courage to stand up for what is right and just, even when you may stand alone. To have the courage to be disliked. To have the courage to sacrifice your own life for the good of others.

This is a dumb reply. No one said that FF7 wasnโ€™t huge, I said the opposite actually. I quite literally said that FF7 was popularly. You were 13 so your balls had barely dropped, you had zero concept of analyzing gamers or the gaming industry while you were more worried about your first pimple. The original FF7 most definitely was popular almost exclusively because of its use of FMV. Itโ€™s what everyone talked about when it was released.

@Stephen_Agnew @jarystavus @paleochristcon The remake is gay as fuck... And the original was not popular because of FMV. I was 13 when it came out and it was huge, everyone with a PS was playing or wanted to play it. The FF franchise was already popular, and 7 put it through the roof.

In our current culture, โ€œChrist is Kingโ€ is used as a slur to beat people over the head or as a comeback. Itโ€™s most often used inappropriately which takes Christโ€™s name in vain. There is a reason why these people donโ€™t say Christ is Lord, because saying that Christ is Lord requires you to bend the knee in your life to Christ, saying โ€œChrist is Kingโ€ does not. This is why you are commanded to say with your mouth โ€œChrist is Lordโ€ in order to be saved and not โ€œChrist is Kingโ€, because โ€œChrist is Lordโ€ is far more important than โ€œChrist is Kingโ€.

@Stephen_Agnew @SMetaldave64 Dogging? I mean they have been praising it while the audience is saying it's not impressive, because it can't match a PS5.

While I think their video on it missed some consumer concerns, I wouldnโ€™t expect them to walk it back. Itโ€™s their opinions. They didnโ€™t walk back any of what they said about switch 2 before they ever touched it. This was despite them laughing at even the idea it could ever do ray tracing, or that DLSS on it will be a big deal. Fast forward and we have entire AAA games with Ray Tracing (Star Wars outlaws), and a bunch of games looking better than they should due to DLSS. They were wrong but never walked back those opinions. So why walk back this one? If you liked it, you liked it. Iโ€™d rather you stand your ground than react to the internet mob, especially when itโ€™s opinion based. On the switch 2 you were just factually wrong and never apologized, on this, itโ€™d just a personal thing on if you liked the demos or not.

@Stephen_Agnew @paleochristcon You fucking what?!?! You are not speaking for everyone. I got it at the time and the music was amazing, the sheer scope, storyline, characters, easter eggs, depth and wealth of locations, customisation of materia, leveling even the remake can't capture all that you are trolling

@Stephen_Agnew @brockpierson While I can agree that the original FF7 is overrated most of the time, I donโ€™t agree that it sucks. Itโ€™s still a very solid and enjoyable experience IMO.

Saying that you needed to wait for the audienceโ€™s opinion is a major red flag in my opinion. ๐Ÿšฉ why would you need to know what we think? Iโ€™ve been doing this for 16 years and thatโ€™s a tall tail sign that you would skew your content to be less harsh or more positive based on the viewers opinions. Iโ€™m not saying that DF does this, but itโ€™s worth noting.
