At some point they’ll get frustrated about security or an administrator following them around until they comply. And now they have a Saturday school for defiance. “What if they don’t go to Saturday school?” They don’t get to go to any after school activities or go off campus at lunch until their Saturday school is cleared. And you don’t get to walk at graduation with uncleared Saturday schools. The inability of adults to not will power teenagers is the issue. Clear consequences. Follow through. It’s worked since the beginning of time.







Ontario Education Minister @PaulCalandra has told school boards that graduation ceremonies must remain “student-centred, apolitical, inclusive, and respectful,” and not be used to “express political views” or “engage in divisive or contentious issues.” The letter also warns staff that social media posts promoting violence, racist commentary, stereotyping, or derogatory language are unacceptable.
