@Pret⁩ I bought a triple bacon sandwich this AM and less than half of the way through, the bacon just stopped. 🥺 I’m still struggling to understand. How can I ever trust again?

@RoryMaw @alex_avoigt Exactly! Many Norwegians think their country is very green - it’s actually a huge polluter when you consider its exports.

@alex_avoigt Norway: a country that’s wealthy from selling fossil fuels to others which it then uses to subsidise domestic policies, whilst using hydro-power itself. Is that virtuous? It sounds like green-washing to me!

In 3 days, 🇳🇴 Norway will stop selling all vehicles with combustion engines for good. The country has proven that the population decides the right thing if you inform them correctly, and favors the ecologically and ecologically better and safer drive. All this is happening in a country in a climate where the opponents of electromobility have claimed that BEVs don't work. Norway is an example for the world and has shown how it works.

@martingough22 A useful part of the selection process. In 8s it is less effective (many moving parts), but it demonstrates the negative impact of weight and if one is detrimental to the boats speed in other ways. It pressures “erg monkeys” to focus on improving technically to get selected.

Rowers: Your thoughts on seat racing please for an article I'm writing. Is it the best way to select a crew? What's good/bad about it? Any personal experiences, good or bad? (If I was the coach involved, please be gentle).

I cannot stress enough how no-one should ever fly with @tapairportugal. Four friends and I had a flight cancelled in JUNE and were told there were no hotels available (in a chaotic and poorly-handlded scene), and to make our own arrangements and we would be re-imbursed. 1/3

So HS2 will not go to Manchestwr - this will be announced tomorrow in Manc -in a disused railway station -on a train strike day -at a Tory conference -when most delegates have already gone back to London If it was in a script for a TV show it would not have not made the cut

Throwback to 2014 with ⁦@petosagan⁩ in white(!) for stage 2 of tdf. My first time seeing the peloton in real life and I desperately snapped my heroes. Today Sagan retires from road racing. Thanks for all the epic moments! Becoming world champ in US was favourite. #Superstar

@AtlantaRouleur One of the greatest moments in a race ever. After a terrible year, he won a great worlds in style. He then took off his helmet, let down his hair and asked for world peace.

🌈 Peter Sagan, Richmond 2015 🌈 “This was the one-shot race, the one bullet that I had been waiting the whole year, my whole career, my whole life, to fire. I wasn’t going to lose without having tried to win. I wasn’t going to die wondering.” - Peter Sagan, “My World”

Anyway back to social skills. 3) The internet is replacing traditional outlets like church and community groups which facilitated real world interaction, bonding & adaptive behaviors for group cohesion.

@Andrew_Adonis A lot of comments that it is because of the H&S regulations in U.K. The main factor is long-term planning and, secondly, ability to “make it happen” (no one says no to a compulsory purchase in China). These both come at a price, but we may not have it quite right in U.K.

China has built more than 20,000 miles of high speed rail in the time it has taken us to plan and half build 140 miles of track from a west London suburb to Birmingham

"Money is not infinite" Tories say re HS2. Let's not forget Stanley Johnson was only person in his road able to sell his London house to govt using HS2 scheme Paid £2.2m 2007, he sold at £4.4m 2016 All other neighbours were apparently refused an offer 🤔 Reference: newspaper reports in 2017 news.sky.com/story/hs2-nort…

Enjoyed answering questions from @bbcnickrobinson about our new approach to reach Net Zero by 2050. I'm going to make big decisions in the long-term interests of our country, even if they're difficult. That's how we'll deliver change and build a better future for our children.
UK Prime Minister@10DowningStreet

❝ I am not going to be deterred from doing what I believe is right for the future of our children ❞ This morning Prime Minister @RishiSunak set out how our new approach to meeting Net Zero by 2050 will ease the burden on working people.

You all routinely get the wrong end of the stick every damn time. It doesn't matter what dress she is wearing. What matters is youthfulness. You put a 21 year old in this outfit versus a 50 year old woman in this outfit. The woman who gets looked at is the youthful lady, no matter how she dresses. That's why you are shitting your kegs over Blue Dress, Mass girl. If a middle-aged woman wore that dress, you wouldn't give a hoot. What is coveted, controlled, and envied is the fertile female. Especially if she is slim and super, especially if she is facially attractive. Ding. Ding. Ding. Fertile? Great. Fertile and slim? Very great. Fertile, slim, and pretty? They go full blown deranged.

Modest clothing yet every guy looks. Is there something attractive to being classy that society has lost?
