@marcox199 @SomeLeftyTroll @keewa From what I can tell the complaint is that katana usually describes one specific type of Japanese sword, whereas scimitar could mean any number of swords from a bunch of different cultures
English

@SomeLeftyTroll @keewa So similar to katana? Even tho it might be wrong, both words are used to substitute sword from a place.
English

seeing this gif makes me want to rewatch the show and find out if the rest of the fights are also timed like this. like, you can count 1 2 3 4 with probably a metronome and the hits are on the "beats"
Jackson@XSOverlord
English

@jedi_kestis It's worth it for the fights, and it's much better as a binge than it was week to week.
English

@CaptainLore_ I love TCW but I am definitely disappointed with how childish it is at times. I love the Umbara arc, but I think it takes a nosedive in quality when it's revealed Krell has just been evil the whole time, simping for Dooku. The whole show is *almost* so good.
English

episode 6 just had a top 5 lightsaber duel in Star Wars out of nowhere

now watching first time

@cyberisschway @EverythingIWa16 Sith and their Mando boyfriends... Vader and Boba, Dooku and Jango, Maul was in a throuple with Rook and Gar Saxon, then Gar Saxon rebounded to Palpatine.
English

I have something to say about The Black Series
This is only a part of it…
#hasbro #theblackseries #starwars

English

@Claagu163 Sith Lords and their Mandalorian boyfriends
Does Gar Saxon rebound from Maul to Sidious?
English

@Battle__Bush I think the Force, the core plot device that the franchise revolves around, having a biological and mystical element strengthens the dual fantasy and sci-fi nature of Star Wars. Both don't have to present at all times, but it is very cool in my opinion that the Force has both.
English

@XSOverlord @luisaothe74 @BrookAshley999 @StarWars_Cringe So the blasters themselves are not a mix of science and fantasy- so it’s not necessary for the force to be either
English

Midichlorians are a good establishment for Star Wars and make way more sense than "anyone can use the Force" ever will.
The Mancalorians@themancalorians
What’s your most controversial Star Wars opinion? 👀
English

@Battle__Bush @luisaothe74 @BrookAshley999 @StarWars_Cringe Like the Force navigators, the best with a blaster could be minorly Force sensitive (higher than average midi-chlorians, but not Jedi levels). Obi-Wan was an excellent marksman and the clones being organic (plus minor access to the Force) made them better soldiers than the droids
English

@Battle__Bush @luisaothe74 @BrookAshley999 @StarWars_Cringe Hyperspace isn't FTL, it's an alternate dimension/higher plane where celestial objects cast shadows which can be colided with, and can be navigated by computers but also force sensitives. There's a mysterious unknown to it even in-universe, it is supernatural by nature.
English

@XSOverlord @luisaothe74 @BrookAshley999 @StarWars_Cringe Not everything in science fantasy has to be both science and fantasy lmao. There’s nothing magic about the space ships for example, they are just hard sci-fi. It’s not important that the force is both at all.
English

@Battle__Bush @luisaothe74 @BrookAshley999 @StarWars_Cringe But there always was a biological element to it, Anakin was strong in the Force and so were his twin children. Star Wars is science fantasy so it's important the Force is both too.
English

@luisaothe74 @BrookAshley999 @StarWars_Cringe I think the main gripe people have is that it makes the force feel less spiritual than it ones did - there doesn’t need to be a biological explanation for it.
English

@BlessedSouthpaw @SheevTalks I occasionally see a Threepio red arm joke and it always brings a smile to my face.
English

@SheevTalks The only memes from the sequels that have had any staying power are "they fly now" and "somehow, Palpatine returned."
Which, unlike a hefty percentage of prequel memes, specifically rag on the lazy hack writing in TROS.
English

I genuinely stopped caring about this discussion years ago but I’d like to remind you guys that TROS is 7 years old this year. When ROTS was 7 years old (2012) prequel memes were already in full swing

haven't watched this yet but I'll say I fully believe that at the very least rise of skywalker will have a r/prequelmemes-tier reevaluation the likes of revenge of the sith had. it is an immensely funny movie in all the ways it doesn't intend to be funny
English

@orionproxima Exactly, Mr. Lightning Fingers is *evil*. Dooku might have had good intentions once as a Jedi, but by AotC he's bad bad. I don't get the "bad writing" argument because the dark side is evil space magic that also makes you more evil the more you use it.
English

Some SW fans can't grasp that the war was a false flag run by DARTH SIDIOUS and DARTH TYRANUS with the purpose of killing Jedi, giving SIDIOUS more power and installing Empire. They gaslit themselves into thinking a Sith Lord, who did 50 heinous acts in AotC alone, is a good guy.

Lore@CaptainLore_
Star Wars is so funny because it's like "The Clone Wars were a deep conflict where many planets for valid reasons seceded from the Republic, causing a war with good on both sides" then you watch TCW and it's "Dooku is going to take his new ion weapon and destroy a hospital!"
English

@Hansen104th @sleepydoot Yeah Rex says the paint job is crude, so I can forgive the 332nd not having the brow
English

@sleepydoot 332nd not having them doesn’t bother me since that area at least has paint covering it but the 104th helmet feels naked without the brow.
English

@ImNoSkrull @PandaCroft I love Rex and Wolffe with their more complex designs, but Phase 1 Fordo is just *clean*
English

@PodoftheRings @catboycrosshair if I'm remembering correctly Umbaran armor just pumps them with gaseous combat stimulants so the helmet is to keep them in
English

@thatchhaila @aeugh989 @7ndrew Leia got more of Anakin's personality and Padmé's skills, Luke got more of Padmé's personality and Anakin's skills
English

@KTVindicare @kyber_kat Dooku might do something similar to a pirate in TCW youtube.com/shorts/REBShuE…

YouTube
English

@kyber_kat I'm more just concerned about the implications this little stunt has on the power of the dark side for manipulating people. Is this some lost technique he found in the holocron that only he can now do? Or is the Emperor able to manipulate people far more than we originally knew?
