@PIDEpk-EDC, in collaboration with @IslamicReliefPK, successfully conducted a two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme on Climate Risk, Poverty, and Gendered Vulnerability in Livelihood Systems (14–15 April 2026). The workshop brought together researchers, practitioners, and policy professionals for an engaging blend of conceptual depth and practical application.
The programme was opened by Dr. Nadeem Ahmad Khan (@nadeem2130), setting the tone for a collaborative and action-oriented learning experience.
Key sessions were delivered by distinguished experts:
🔹 Dr. Nasir Iqbal (@drniqbal) on social protection and climate-resilient livelihoods
🔹 Dr. Aneel Salman (@SalmanAneel) on green livelihoods, eco-tourism, and technology adoption
🔹Dr. Khurram Ellahi Khan on communication, leadership, and storytelling
🔹Dr. Muhammad Faisal Ali (@DrMFaisal_Ali) on vulnerability profiling, livestock systems, and LAPA
🔹Dr. Ahmad Fraz (@aahmadfraz) on climate-smart livelihoods
🔹Dr. Sobia Rose (@sobia_rose) on climate trends and adaptation in Pakistan
🔹Dr. Muhammad Rafique on climate finance challenges
🔹Waseem Ahmad on anticipatory action planning
Participants engaged in interactive learning, including a plantation activity and a creative “Paint Your Resilience” exercise, reinforcing reflection alongside action.
The ToT model highlighted a powerful takeaway: small shifts in trainers’ mindset can create large-scale impact through knowledge cascades.
