@CDare10 I used to have people say all the time not to be afraid to be outside and get out doing things .... while I was outside and out doing things! I don't mask constantly anymore but I do whenever I'm in a healthcare setting.

@jeffgilchrist I noticed that in BC reports while it was happening. They only ever posted cumulative reports. I would subtract the totals each month from the previous to get the monthly info and it was clear the biggest increase in hospitalization was in younger people.

The reason 50% of Canadians live pay cheque to pay cheque is because over 50% of Canadians live in our Metropolitan areas, and an apartment costs 5x what it costs in rural areas. The problem is there is no homes for regular people in Metro areas where all the jobs are, just apartments.

Most Canadians are financially uneducated and spend too much.
Like sorry but half the country isnโt in poverty. Everyone says they live paycheque to paycheque because of lifestyle inflation.

@marveloustune Hope other colours become the trend. I live in the rainy westcoast, and nothing more depressing than house upon house with grey interiors. I have warm colours in mine. Came with the house 25+ years ago and I'm still okay with it.

Wow! No one in my family, nor friends, were ever sick that many times in a year when young. There's something to be said about keeping kids at home resting when sick.

Got this patient info sheet from the after hours clinic where my son went for an ear issue (not Covid, thankfully) Apparently they are calling Covid a "common cold" now & normalizing kids being sick like 16 weeks of the year "without cause for concern" ๐ณ

@pr0ud_americans At least you moved back into right lane each time. That other truck stayed in the left lane. There should never be anyone constantly cruising in the left unless they plan to turn left at an upcoming turn lane.

We're fine with supervised consumption sites for alcohol - called bars - who call 911 if someone passes out - but if someone's using drugs - they should do it in an alley, school park or Tim's bathroom. Come any night to ER - alcohol is the main wrecking ball. cbc.ca/news/canada/toโฆ

@smithhmackenzie The only times I will have a drink is at Christmas and New Year's. I'm not really adverse to it at any time but just seemed to have lost interest over the years.

It's not enjoyable, it's empty calories, and I end up feeling like shit
My sleep, training, and productivity will be impacted

โWhen the CDC was thinking about mandating the chickenpox vaccine for your children, they did a study.
The person they hired to do that study was a scientist named Gary Goldman, who did a long-term study in California.
What he found is that if you give the chickenpox vaccine, mass vaccinate, it stops chickenpox, but causes shingle epidemics later on; which is 20x deadlier.
Despite those studies, we mandated for American children in this country, but in Europe they donโt.
If you go to the British National Health Service website right now, you can read that it will say, โWe do not recommend chickenpox vaccines because it causes shingles epidemics later onโฆ and thatโs the problem.

@bxieus A neighbour with a less than 5 year old Tesla had it start to smoke in his garage. Caught it in time thankfully. It's part of the hazard of any EV.

@SettledWolves And, I overstated their compensation. Because they are on FN land, they will not get $20k. They are being offered $11k. Probably the FN weren't obligated to give them anything so it's better than nothing but it won't pay to move their home.

Despite being right, there's no land available elsewhere to rent, where they can all move their trailers. I'm not blaming FN. But it's still devastating to end up homeless. $20,000 compensation and low income doesn't go very far.

Soโฆthe trailer park leased the land for 50 or 90 yrs then rented the spots out to residents. The first nations told these ppl yrs ago that the lease to the trailer park was up in two yrs and wouldnโt be renewed and these ppl didnโt look for other options. I mean thatโs ON THEM.

@SettledWolves It's Canada. Yes, they have been given a lot of notice but there's very limited vacant pads in existing mobile home parks, and you can't just plunk it down anywhere due to zoning restrictions. One or two owners might get lucky, but not all of them.
