@nickgillespie I would be more interested to know median household assets of the UWS or any other neighborhood. A HHI of $500K is likely worse off than a family earning $150K with significant inherited wealth.

This is a dirty secret we city slickers prefer not to think about. The best ethnic restaurants are often out in strip malls in the burbs. That's fine, I want good food for all. But we no longer have a monopoly on such wonders.

@AliceFromQueens Yes. But a key element of pricing in taco by markets is that everyday (rather every few days) taco does not happen, the market incrementally prices in a non-taco probability. We’re at the point where Trumps bombast pronouncements are getting faded within the hour of the pop

You can’t rule out TACO till we’ve seen his response to a real markets crash.
Of course the TACO assumption is a big factor preventing that crash.

I’m a little baffled that people are still talking about “TACO” two weeks into this war. The Strait of Hormuz is closed and the Iranians are demanding US withdrawal from the Gulf to reopen it. I think we’re a bit past “chickening out”

@conorsen @bobbyfijan These are not even accurate representations. Central Park in NYC and (I think) Piedmont Park in Atlanta are always full of kids in good weather. If the 2nd pic is Dolores in SF, it has a kids playground which was full when I went there

What differs is a majority of the local population does not support the regime and will NOT fight on behalf of it. So the USA and IDF will chip away at the leadership and if they sustain, it will eventually fall. It's not Iraq let alone Vietnam. 20% support the govt (5-10% on religious grounds, 10-15% IRGC/economic determinism) but the leadership itself is small.
