@Mattisamazing33 Cheques are part of my life still, although most banks allow them to be paid in by mobile app, so I only use it to piss the council and water board off.

The DVLA has sent me a cheque. How the hell do I pay a cheque in in 2026???

@TheBlueBeatRoom @greateranglia Redbridge at gridlock as the flyover on the A406 was closed. Buses were dispatched from Newb Park but not reaching Ingatestone. Once the standby buses were used, no arrivals = no return coaches.

@greateranglia Blimey, if I had sub contracted work out and there was a major delivery issue I would want an answer within 24 hours? People are paying Greater Anglia for this service, it's not like GA hasn't had plenty of practice in perfecting a rail replacement service. March was a disaster.

@greateranglia do you know why the queues for the rail replacement are so big at Ingatestone?

The guy who bought this is local to me, saw it parked up and had to spin the bus around to have a quick chat with him... We now have TWO Yugo motor cars in the town, the other being a Yugo 55. No pictures because it felt rude. 🤣

@sarahwoods455 @greateranglia Gallows Corner isnt open to non TFL traffic. I tried using the A12 earlier, and cutting through Collier Row, and it was a nightmare due to all the locals doing the same. The M11 is the only way to do it, or getting mixed up with going through Romford cente.

@greateranglia Hi, does anyone know why the replacement buses have been such a shambles today @greateranglia? Why are drivers going round the M25 and down the M11?! Surely Gallows Corner is open to public transport replacement buses?

@RedReflections_ @greateranglia The bus turnaround circle was blocked with @networkrail track staff dumping their cars there to avoid parking fines, so buses coming in couldn't turn around. A quick word with the supervisor on site sorted it, not before it screwed passengers over.

@greateranglia Apparently the 10:14 stopped at the wrong bus stop and drive off with no passengers. I have managed to squeeze onto the 10:47am but have no seat so will not have to spend the next hour standing.

@OCDaboutCars My old Frontera (325gkm ~) was a lot less than this, but registered 28/02/2004... to penalise cars at this age is just done to encourage buying white goods cars, rather than making do with that we've got.

This would be a lovely, reliable, comfortable, practical car for someone. But it's been taxed into oblivion. There are many like it and it honestly makes my blood boil.

@Joshlander31911 @MikeyCycling Road tax as it was may have been removed in 1937, but the DVLA refer to it as road tax still, and its a tax that you have to pay (emissions dependent between 2001 & 2020) to use the roads. Therefore by definition, it is a road tax, as you dont pay if you dont use public roads.

There’s no such thing as road tax. Do you want pedestrians to pay a pollution tax like you do for driving? Your driving is heavily subsidised and still you whine.

I've used Rotalla on a 1.2 Corsa, and have Rovelo fitted to my Vitara, both being very low power and not driven hard, see those as perfectly acceptable. The Volvo gets mid-range all seasons, due to distances travelled etc. Price difference, £400/set

@GitGrumpygit @ListerLawrence There also needs to be a law against Chinese ditch finders. I believe insurance companies should be looking at tyres when cars are involved in crashes and asking how much impact crap tyres had on the collision. A Michelin and a Rotalla are light years apart in quality.

Our little Bateson, twin axle, 750kg trailer and the Jaaaaag got a proper clean today, first time in the whole week I’ve owned it. Still haven’t ‘bonded’ with it necessarily but it’s a great thing to drive and I can’t get over how quiet it is when driving. Sound system is fantastic too 🔊 We’ve had the trailer from new but it’s going up for sale, has sat in our unit for the last 2-3 years doing nothing. I’ve looked at their new prices and they are literally double what we paid many years ago now 😬

@TomTaxiDriver Hazard lights are over used by Uber and literally everybody in London. There's no reason to have them on when stopped in town unless youre not kerbside, or have suffered a breakdown.

Just had a driver pull up next to me and asked me why I’ve not got my hazard lights on whilst stopping at the side of the road ME: Because there’s no hazard ? 🤔

The Fusion has been replaced with a Volvo V50 Sport R Design 2.0d, the Frontera has been replaced with a Mitsubishi Outlander GX4 2.3 MIVEC... This is the first time in a decade that I've not owned a Vauxhall, and I'm quite happy about it.
