I served on the staff of Third U.S. Army as an operations officer, Chief of Future Ops, and Special Assistant to the Commanding General from 1998-2000. Itโ€™s the Army headquarters for Central Command. We planned and trained constantly for various scenarios that could occur in the Gulf region. The Strait of Hormuz is the single most vulnerable stretch of water in the entire region and nearly the world. Iran has spent decades fortifying their coast and preparing to close it. The idea that Trump and his sweaty bro idiot Hegseth launched this war seemingly unprepared for it to be shut down and the barrage of missiles and drones that would rain on the region is the most irresponsible and idiotic military mistake imaginable. Hegseth spent the last year working out and fighting wokeness instead of preparing for war. He must go. Now.

CNN: Why isn't the US Navy escorting ships through the Strait of Hormuz? SEN. RICK SCOTT: I can't tell you the answer to that, but I think right now it's still a dangerous situation. It's gonna take a while for us to get control of the Strait of Hormuz.

It does not speak well of us as a nation that so many of us have gotten used to how bonkers this is. It also reeks of status envy and insecurity, which you'd think wouldn't really afflict the most powerful man in the world, but he seems acutely aware that he's not very smart.
Acyn@Acyn

Trump: I know a lot of stupid people that went to a good college. My uncle was the longest serving professor at MIT. That means I have much better blood. But I went to the hardest college of all to get into, the Wharton school of finance, that means I'm real smart.

Imagine if there was a murder in broad daylight. On video. And the killer got away. Thereโ€™d be a nationwide manhunt. The U.S. government knows who killed Alex Pretti. They wonโ€™t say. And theyโ€™re actively hiding the suspect(s).

Someone asked why the DOJ released some Epstein files that mentioned Trump, rather than continuing to cover all of them all up. I think this reply is plausible. ๐Ÿ‘‡

Would love to see the number of Americans streaming or watching Catherine O'Hara movies and shows this weekend compared to those seeing the Melania movie.

Donald Trump will be remembered or forgotten, as the most subversive โ€œpresidentโ€ in U.S. history. He was undeniably a Russian asset. A documented child rapist. And an egomaniacal evil cult leader. I will never forget, or forgive, those who helped him and enabled his treachery.

ICE and CBP agents seem to enjoy gratuitously breaking glassโ€”from car windows to store fronts to homes. Itโ€™s an expression of unchecked power and dominance: โ€œWeโ€™re in charge. We break and shatter what we want.โ€ And nights of broken glass have been a harbinger of worse to come.

Itโ€™s the first day. We will learn more. A NYT analysis of video offers an initial sequence. A citizen holding a phone is put on the ground. His weapon is found and taken. Only afterward is he shot, again and again and again. Agents block police from the crime scene.

Trumpโ€™s endless empowerment of federal immigration agents has resulted in yet another senseless killing. This brutal crackdown has to end. I cannot and will not vote to fund DHS while this administration continues these violent federal takeovers of our cities.

This was taken a few days ago. It's not Photoshopped. Everyone was commenting on the make up. Not me. I was looking at the ear that was hit with a high powered bullet that caused 2 cm worth of damage that never happened.

@gtconway3d We should also note that Trump doesnโ€™t experience any sleep episodes when the focus is on him. He simply gets bored to death if heโ€™s not the topic of conversation or the one speaking. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ
