@Stroke_McClane @bobdoessports @RDSBarath @MadeForTheRange Redundant mentions are what I’m looking for! Don’t hold back.
English

@engineeringolf The fellas at @bobdoessports are outstanding. However mentioned a few times already.
2 others I love: @RDSBarath & @MadeForTheRange
These two guys make outstanding videos.
English

@parmachina This is a great answer. We need a “report as redundant” button.
English

@engineeringolf Anyone that doesn't post a picture of a hole and ask, "It is 152 yards. What club do you hit".
English

@tweeth_mitchell @bryanbrosgolf What is your consumption by platform Tweeth? You living on YouTube or 𝕏?
English

I’ll throw my vote in the mix:
Any video from @RogerSteeleJr is an auto-watch for me. There is nobody making golf look or sound cooler than that guy right now.
English

@ShotPattern Just masterful use of the “show more” here. An actual lol from me😄
English

@engineeringolf I believe Callaway is tapping into motivational theory here. Research shows that each one of us is driven by a primary pillar in the seven drivers of life/job satisfaction:
- Autonomy
- Mastery
- Belonging
- Purpose
- Growth
- Security
- Having the biggest balls in your foursome

During my research yesterday I discovered something wild.
The Callaway Supersoft Max is 3% bigger than regular golf balls.
Who would ever want this??

Put some work into the Ball Guide this weekend. Lineups separated by cover type. Sort by spin. Sort by feel. What else would you like to see?
English

@engineeringolf I'm not arguing that I agree with them lol.
But sure, make one the size of a tennis ball!
English

@CrudeCO77 By this logic, why stop at 3%?
Wouldn’t 50% bigger be even better?
English

@engineeringolf This is by design and advertised as such. It's a high-handicap ball, designed to assist those who struggle to hit the ball and make it go far.
The bigger the target, the more likely you are to hit it.

Fake Penalty: A new concept in course management for me.
Recently I have been learning from one of the top guys in the data/analytics game on Tour.
He introduced me to a concept called the "fake penalty" and it has changed how I approach course management.
Here is an example from my round yesterday.
Par 3, pin back right, 3 months ago I would have hit it to the middle of the green.
What is hard to see is along the white line bisecting the green is a big hill which makes for a difficult putt if you are left of it.
Right of the green is a collection area, the chip is uphill and it is very easy.
The lesson is, it is worth it to take this pin on because the right side of the dispersion is an easy chip.
The ease of the chip vs the difficulty of the putt is "permission" to get more aggressive than I would have previously and give myself a birdie chance.
Yesterday, I took this pin on, hit it 10ft right of the green chipped up and tapped in.
This game is ever evolving and I am always learning. There are some smart people out there and I am lucky to be able to learn from them.
My goal is to try and pass this kine of Tour knowledge onto the Amateur golfer who is trying to elevate their game.

English

@KEC913 There is no max size limit, only a minimum.
I’ll let you decide if a bigger ball is easier. Personally I’m rejecting 3% more lipouts.
English

@engineeringolf How is that a legal ball. I know smaller ones go further ( NITRO)
Does bigger ball easier to control etc?
English

@conservmn @OnlyFFRT Seem like they have been discontinued.
English

@engineeringolf @OnlyFFRT @pxg And there's no max because making them bigger would be really stupid. I dont get these at all. 😂
English

@engineeringolf Have found a few in the woods over the years, they don’t fit into the cart golf ball holders lol.
English

@BogeyBones Stuck in the ball washer 😄
The Top-Flite Magna.
English

@engineeringolf I'm thinking more stable flight at the cost of drag and distance. maybe the big balls larger moment of inertia reduces side spin on poor shots
I know top flites used to be slightly bigger too, as they would get stuck in the ball washer back in my driving range days
English

Not certain why I wasn’t following TGE

@engineeringolf Rick Sheils did a whole You Tube episode about it. Said it would help people hit the ball better. Bigger target, easier hit.
Golf is really weird, especially post Covid. Rick has like 1 Million YouTube followers so he can’t possibly be full of shit, can he?
