In my spare time, I like to toy around with predictive models for cycling and Formula 1. Most of those models operate on basic data such as race results, lap times and rankings. Does anyone collect event-like data for races or more granular data on riders, circuits and stages?

@barot_dvij That’s a challenging one because a lot of events in a race are… hard to predict. I would start with predicting strategies based on tyre wear if i were you!

@f1dataanalytics Hi Jasper, I was trying to implement a F1 race result predictor which takes the latest quali results and tries to give the race result. Do you think it is a viable project and what are your suggestions?

@MitchellMay33 Agreed - it's not about the visualisation per sé, but it's about what you do with it. Process mining unlocks a very different angle on data (e.g. times between activities: brake to full throttle), which I will be highlighting during the webinar!
