@henrymodis @Kailzer @signulll so other ones just won't have context, interesting. I use Superset rn so I run them next to each other and kinda just copy snippets between them as needed. this is way smarter

@its_unks @Kailzer @signulll As long as you have all CLIs installed and authed you can just tell Claude to use them. So like “do a deep research on soy bean farming, tell Gemini to do the same, and then compare notes when you are done” I do stuff like this all the time. Asking them to work together

@signulll @henrymodis still be cautious with that, I tired that and Gemini misses a lot of things. I had to check a few times and gemini tends to "summarise" lines.

I’m still experimenting with the automated part but to manually do it you can just tell Claude to use the Gemini cli. In Claude.md you should be able to prompt it to happen automatically if you describe what scenario. I do have an automated codex code review that runs as part of a prepush commit hook, so that’s deterministic.

the long tail of any software adoption is staggeringly slow. in 2020 at slack, everyone was wfh and needed tools. I worked on UXR with a very large corporation in the midwest who just started using slack and they were signing all of their messages like they were emails

It's 2026, in Silicon Valley. I ordered furniture and watched the staff type each item into a terminal program from the '90s. SKU number, color code, price, all entered manually. 30 minutes just to input the order. No UI. No dropdowns. No validation. Unsurprisingly, we caught multiple typos on review, including the price. They said it's common. Vendors often have to call back to confirm errors, adding more delays and manual work. In the midst of the AI revolution, this is a reminder that technology adoption is still painfully slow in places you'd least expect.

Craziest part is we all knew each other already in high school! Along with @randomjohnnyh (Perplexity cofounder), @demi_guo_ (Pika CEO), @stevenkplus1 and Andrew (Cognition), and many others. We all grew up in different states but met thru the olympiad scene.
Vividly remember this line from @alexandr_wang when we were around 19: "I hear people saying they want to find the next Paypal mafia. Why shouldn't it just be us?"
Glad to see @chameleon_jeff get the recognition he deserves :)

I keep thinking I miss having someone like Steve Jobs in the industry.
He had some standards. He cared about quality, coherence, and making great products. He could be ruthless and he had plenty of flaws, but it still felt like he and Apple were trying to make something genuinely great above all else. They had their opinions and you could respect that. They didn't try to force you, but make their case why they think it's good.
Now tech feels driven by trend chasing, fear, scale, revenue comparisons, endless games and everyone talks their book. Investors come first, business goals next, and users last if not at all.
I wish there would still someone like Steve still around

Perplexity started as a small business tool for ourselves. We had 4 people and no revenue with AI at our fingertips.
The pivot to Computer is actually a full circle. Founders are using it to grow companies that matter to the economy and their communities.
It’s rewarding to see it now powering small businesses and startups in big ways.
Perplexity is still a startup. We just 5X’ed revenue from $100M to $500M with only 34% growth in team size. 2x revenue growth in 2026 with same small team. And we’re just warming up.
Everyone here works at a small business, and everything we build is for people who build.
