My mom took delivery of her second Tesla today, a Model Y Performance! Three years ago, it took a lot to convince her to give Tesla a chance. Her 2023 Model X was her first EV. When it came time for a new car this year, she said she will own nothing but Tesla the rest of her life. She relies heavily on FSD and couldn’t have a car without it. Thank you to the wonderful people at Tesla Sarasota for being so kind and accommodating to my mom today!!

@wholemars @hamids I live in Duncan, SC and there is a Rivian SC here yet I see more Cybertrucks than I do Rivians. Maybe CT owners just utilitze their vehicle more since it has FREAKING SELF-DRIVING.

lol. I love the Cybertruck, but there’s no question it’s been a failure as a product. Elon and Tesla expected it to be the best selling truck, beating the F150 and prepared to scale it to 250k units per year immediately, which seemed low because they had 2 MILLION reservations!
Now Omar (Whole Mars) is bragging that for all of 2026 Cybertruck MIGHT sell more than the 25k units $RIVN expects to sell of R2 during the 7-8 months of a 2026 production ramp. Amazing achievement!
You can’t make up the ridiculousness of the EBots (Elon fanboys).

It would be really cool if there was a video of my new @cybertruck driving itself through the Cyber Tunnel on the thumb drive at delivery. In fact, Model Y should come with this as well. We want to see our baby's first steps. Hello world.

UPDATE: Good news and bad news. The good news is, my new Lucid Gravity arrived at the Riviera Beach delivery center on Saturday and is now prepped and ready for delivery. The bad news is, Lucid has halted all Gravity deliveries due to some sort of "middle seat component" and will not release them until that part has been replaced. The only timeline I have received is "it will take a bit" so I have no idea how long this delivery hold is expected to last. I am excited to experience the Gravity and disappointed that deliveries are halted. Hopefully "a bit" won't be too long. I have no doubt that @LucidMotors would rather be delivering new vehicles every day, not holding deliveries, so I am sure they're working as fast as possible on a resolution. Pics are from when it first arrived in Riviera Beach on Saturday, not post-prep.

"I totally would've done it differently. I mean, look, we didn't know what we didn't know. I guess it didn't take us long to learn that our internal-combustion-engine prejudice was so high that we hadn't designed the [electric] cars right. We had a Mustang Mach-E, we had an E-Transit, we had a Lightning, and people loved these products. The problem was they were never going to pay the cost we put into the vehicle."

Ford CEO Jim Farley, in a new interview, says he realized Ford had been doing EVs all wrong after his team ripped apart a Tesla:
“When we ripped apart a Tesla, I was just absolutely flabbergasted. The Mach-E's wiring harness was 70 pounds heavier and 1.6 kilometers longer. We didn't know what was going on in [Tesla engineers' ] minds. But now we understand. They had no prejudice. We had prejudice. We'd gone to our supply-chain person and said, "Buy another wiring harness." [Tesla] said, "Let's design the vehicle for the lowest, smallest battery." Totally different approach.”
