Everyone says “AI will take all the jobs.” If that happens… how does this future actually work? No jobs → no income → no spending. So who buys things? Who pays rent? Who keeps the economy moving? What am I missing here?

I think they will have to. It’s the way the system works. Once any company utilized AI/Robitics to dramatically reduce the cost of operation, they will lower their prices and become the most competitive. Other companies will be forced to follow suit or be left far in the dust. It’ll work itself out. The motivation (reason) for companies perusing Ai/Robotics is to lower costs and undermine competitors. It’s not often the world sees an innovation this consequential — that can intensify competition and drastically reduce costs — which is why this is going to be very different. It’s why the big ‘race’ is happening. This is a much much bigger deal than something like the iPhone being revealed in 2007 and changing the way we use phones/computers. This isn’t just going to be cool new consumer AI products. It’s going to fundamentally change the way the world creates and manages resources, goods and services. This will change the entire lifestyle of humanity and people’s relationship to work and commerce. People MUST zoom out and think big picture. BIG picture! It’s exciting.
