When I grow up, I want to be a theologian. Perpetuating the patriarchy since 2007. αυτος/αυτου/αυτῷ/αυτον

If you have any doubt about who Andrew Tate is and what he's done, take some time to watch the videos in this thread. These are voluntary confessions. He just never thought he would be held accountable for his actions because he moved to a country where a lot of this was overlooked until he got too famous.

There is historical precedent for President Trump’s latest. Dr. Carter Malkasian, author of The [1953] Korean War: “Rhee [President of South Korea] vociferously opposed the armistice. He wanted Korea unified and all Chinese forces withdrawn from Korea. Koreans filled the streets of Seoul and other cities throughout South Korea to demonstrate. Most South Koreans supported President Rhee’s stance that an armistice should not be concluded until North Korea was liberated. Rhee was intransigent.”

Can’t help but think of a few of my male friends here … lol *cough cough*

Trump has relatively high approval for his first few months, but most voters care about the economy above all else and his ratings will crash quickly as the economy crashes. Which it absolutely will if these tariffs are implemented.

True. As distasteful as it is, Zelensky should be offered some kind of amnesty in a neutral country in exchange for a peaceful transition back to democracy in Ukraine.

TODAY: Famous three-time Russian Olympic wrestling champion turned politician Buvaisar Saitiev has died after allegedly falling from his third-floor Moscow apartment window.

I'm incredibly sympathetic to argument of hypocrisy here but the reality is this: The right has been on the receiving end of this boot for about a decade. The left had every opportunity to propose a set of objective, reasonable, legible rules to protect people from vindictive political witch-hunts. They refused to do so and repeatedly argued that, actually, those people deserved it. Now they're on the receiving end of it and, I get it, that sucks. Man, does it suck. It sucks so much that I think we should all come up with a set of objective, reasonable, legible rules that will protect people from vindictive political witch-hunts. But no on wants to do that b/c: 1) the right is having too much fun wearing the booth 2) the left doesn't want to write down any rules that will restrain them from going stomp-happy the next time they get to wear the boot

Tariffs on allies up; sanctions on Russia down ... an interesting international economic policy ... 1/
