The day the Affordable Care Act passed was one of my proudest moments as president, because it meant that millions of Americans would have access to health care, some for the first time. The ACA also prevented insurance companies from denying people with pre-existing conditions coverage, allowed young people under the age of 26 to remain on their parents’ plan, expanded Medicaid, and so much more. But the ACA was always meant to be a first step. We still have to do more to expand access and make health care more affordable for everyone.

Trump’s SEC chair prevented the head of enforcement at the SEC from investigating Trump’s circle for insider trading and she resigned over it

Mark, why do you think government intervention into the free market is the answer here over an economic solution? I would argue that there is too much government intervention in healthcare and insurance, which has led to a lot of the costs being driven up in the first place. The fact is that if there was a more direct relationship between customers and cost, prices would decrease. Nobody is paying six figures out of pocket for their medical expenses. The only reason those expenses remain so high is that insurance companies boost the market rate and inflate costs. Certainly, I am not advocating for people to not receive essential care that they need to survive, but from a market philosophy perspective, I can't see how more government intervention leads to anything but exacerbation of the outcomes that they themselves have gotten us into to begin with.

The transformation of liberals into "progressives" since 2013 has seriously been the worst thing to happen to American culture in my lifetime. Just absolutely gutted so much of what was good about this country. End of a golden age.

White men are very easily the most oppressed group in history. Nearly 100% of our problems are external, in the system. But no one's going to solve them for you. You have to solve them yourself, which means we have to solve them together. This rat is trying to tell you that you have problems because you are personally deficient. That's probably not true. The average White guy is more competent than the top 20% of any other group except maybe East Asians. But even that doesn't matter, because the top 2% of white guys are more competent than 100% of everyone else put together. It does not matter how many retards you put to work designing a rocket, it's never going to fly. The exclusion of white men from opportunity is the vast majority of the problem. It's not that there are no stupid white guys. About 14% of them are. It's not that there are no white guys with problems. Everybody has flaws. It's that we were always that way, and we were doing thousands of times better than everyone else before somebody snuck into our government and changed all the rules to make sure that we get nothing in our own countries. No one's going to solve that but us, and us includes you. So it's not your fault that things are so bad, but it is your responsibility.

A generation ago, Poland rationed sugar and flour while its citizens were paid one-tenth what West Germans earned. Today its economy has edged past Switzerland to become the world’s 20th largest with over $1 trillion in annual output. nbcnews.com/business/econo…

NEW: Disney Cruise Line debuted a new ad titled “Midnight Magic” during the Academy Awards on ABC, and it’s a tearjerker. The spot follows a father and son sharing a quiet tradition aboard a Disney ship, a ritual that carries their relationship from childhood into adulthood.

I suppose one positive about entrepreneurs is that we don’t go down without a fight. I will leave this state if I must, but before I do, expect a knock down, drag out fight. I love it here and I will do my damndest to get the electorate to wake up to the tsunami of destruction their elected officials have just unleashed upon them.
