London mayor Sadiq Khan has said the MET police used excessive force in arresting the suspect who stabbed two Jewish men, one in his 30s and one in his 70s, in Golders Green north London. Police called it a terrorist incident, and the suspect, a 45-year-old named Essa Suleiman, was arrested and charged with attempted murder. Both victims are stable.

Polanski's Green Party plans to give migrants Universal Basic Income of up to £1,600 a month in a scheme critics brand 'madness'. Which would cost taxpayers £19 billion a year. Illegal migrants would be given a regular cash payment by British taxpayers without needing to become citizens, under plans drawn up by the Green Party. Really sad to hear about the end of Football Focus. I loved that show growing up. I used to watch it every week with my dad and I remember how proud he was when I got the job. It was such a privilege to sit in the chair for 12 years, work with an amazing team on and off air and form so many lasting friendships. Saturdays were always special. The football landscape is constantly changing and it’s disappointing that there isn’t space for a show that has meant so much to so many people for so many years.
