@lakeSh8wTime One of the silliest narratives of all time was that shaq carried him 🤬. A legit argument can be made that in '01 and '02 (the other championship years they had besides '00) he was the best overall player in the NBA. How can someone who might be the best in the NBA get carried 🤦‍♂️

It is comical that ppl truly believe Harden doesn’t have a championship because HE choked away chances at a championship when that literally has never ever happened

The Harden vs Wade debate has always been complicated. Harden's regular season career is so far above Wade's that it would take Harden being an unfathomably horrible big game performer to cancel it out.......but as it happens, that's exactly what he is. If Harden had just ONE (1) title run to fall back on, the debate wouldn't even be close, but he choked away so many chances it's disgusting. For the record, Wade's playoff career after 2006 without LeBron isn't good, BUT his 2006 Finals is so much better than anything playoff Harden ever did it's impossible to ignore. It's the ultimate trump card. The best way I can sum it up is: Wade was better in big games, but Harden was better at getting his teams to big games, he just wasn't very good in the games themselves. I'll take Wade by a hair, but I think people overlook the value in Harden's floor raising ability as a 1 man offensive engine during his prime.

@kingtisemedia @Latidati7 I'm a big harden guy but he was on a contender in 2015, 2017, 2023 and was God awful in the last game of each year. And 2024 was smelly too on a team with home court in round one. And last year was another stinker during the last game on a good team

Harden was the reason his teams never won. He was the weak link. Never in my life have I witnessed anyone with such bad defense. He just did not care. Wade on the other hand was an excellent defender. Defense is half the game. HALF. Most underrated aspect of the sport. I watched a ton of Rockets games and he couldn’t be bothered to put a hand up or close out. Players would walk right past him. He was much better than Wade offensively but that’s only half the game.

And even though he only had a chip level roster one year, Tim led a team with role players (baby Tony and manu, last leg David) to a chip while beating shaq and Kobe on the way

Gobert discourse in 2021 was nauseatingly bad. He was obviously the best player on that Jazz team carrying a bunch of defensive bums to the best defense/team in the league whenever he was on the court yet never got the respect he deserved and was simultaneously blamed for their shortcomings even though it wasn’t his fault.
