An amount is collected by almost every political party from applicants who are keen to contest in the elections. This is usually non-refundable and becomes part of the party fund. Every serious applicant pays this knowing full well that it is non-refundable. If a party leader decides not to contest the elections, there is no reason why the money collected has to be returned back to the interested candidates. Also, there is no print, audio or video record of any of MNM’s cadre or members asking for a refund. This was a false allegation made by another Godi media house which you are running with. If there is an actual source that you have got hold of and can provide on the public domain, I will extend an unconditional apology in writing.
