@jDtheFreeman @TrueSlazac @Myonlychoice12 @ViewYoah50286 @Karl_Fuck_Uyama Do you not know what 'everyone in the world means' it's precisely because there will be ppl inadvertly pressing blue that this is a moral dilemma If we exclude them then it's just a reading comprehension issue, press red for survival GG it's not even interesting as a debate

the ideas you write about aren't original & have been done before. where you exercise creativity is in your collection of chronic & acute conflicts, what it is that your characters go through so that they feel what your reader has already felt before

@strellunas·
smth discussed in creative writing class is that "ideas are dead on arrival." when you're writing a story based off ideas instead of conflict, you're writing characters who talk about how they're feeling, never put them through anything. it's just a blog post, not a story

@OpenUpToLoveN @thedimitri It's not 'just in case' tho, it will happen Statistically impossible for 8.3 billions to all click on the same button. Mentally ill ppl, the elders, children, babies or just regular people who misread the problem will inadvertly pick blue Whole point of the moral dilemma btw 🤯

@thedimitri You don't understand, I have to press blue and act morally superior because what if some random kid who couldn't read decided to press a button at random. Huh? "but what if that doesn't happen?", but what if it does? Better press blue just in case!

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If you press the blue button, you get to act morally superior to everyone. If you press the red button, you get to act smarter than everyone. Which button would you press in this zero-stakes poll?

@adrusi The reds could only win if it's one specific group of people voting against another specific group of people If all people voting are randoms, it's not likely for the red party to win at all here

@MemeMagician97 The point is to make you think you can simply pick red and everyone else will too (naive since a large amount people will inadvertly pick blue) or that blue is a safe choice You got stuck in that initial premise The actual moral dilemma is making your choice fully aware of allat

@MemeMagician97 Why do you think the problem isn't simply phrased 'pick red and nothing happens, pick blue and you die expect if 50% of earth pick blue too'? The point is to trick people into misreading it (regular people can make a mistake too, it's just more likely for young/ill/old people)

"Theres no xteam bro we sre like just a bunch of individuals bro" Incredible to find bluepressers rediscovering their mental ilness through first principles.
Shadow Virgil@ShadowVirg

@Anton81191831 There is no red team. There are a bunch of individuals who voted red. Only blue is a team because only blue requires strength in numbers to achieve their victory condition.

@MemeMagician97 Now you're the one making up your own definitons and re wording the dilemma just to be right lol Do we not know what 'everyone in the world' mean? You seem to have misundertood the dilemma yourself, have no doubt litteral children, mentally ill or old people can too

@12leplusgrand I would even argue the question itself makes no sense if children are allowed to participate though, so Im not counting on that

@MemeMagician97 You're genuinely pretending not to understand the very simple concept that many will misread the problem and inadvertly pick blue (especially children/old people) and that the only way to save them is for others to vote blue as well (=prosocial) W tunnel vision

@S_____C______ @oliveegger It's statistically impossible for 8.3 billion people to all vote red. That's the whole point of the dilenma. There will be blue voters no matter what Many will misread the problem and inadvertly pick blue, if blue gets over 50% no one dies, any other outcome will result in deaths

@oliveegger Your default position of suicidal-altruism and illogical self-sacrifice has been exposed as having literally zero moral weight or objective reasoning behind it When people point this out, you double down This is what demoralisation looks like

@MemeMagician97 Only 2 outcomes where everyone lives Everyone is red (statistically impossible) Blue is above 50% (feasible) Only way to save people who misread the problem and inadverly voted blue is to gamble your life & vote blue to reach 50%
