Disability in the Middle Ages and the modern. Silly retellings of medieval shenanigans. Recreational theology. No guarantees of quality - we're all mad here.

People think I'm kidding when I say there is a fascist agenda behind the promotion of AI. These devices are designed to kill literacy. We grew up in one of those rare periods of history where most people could read, and those who can read are harder to control.

Marieha Hussein has been found NOT GUILTY!

WE HAVE SOME SUSPICIONS CONFIRMED! The editor/translator of the book I've been working from, one Mr A Hamilton Thompson, was pedantic and thorough in the best tradition of Edwardian British Local Historians (IYKYK). Alnwick was good friends with Ralph "Sweep the Floor" Cromwell

Tune in tomorrow to see how close my guess is on the percentage of complaints involving Brother Bartone. I spent 4 hours charting this out today. There are 16 monks at Bardney Abbey in 1436. I'm guessing of all the various complaints, 80% involve Bartone.

Bartone is accused, somewhat bafflingly, of saying that the Lord Cromwell (Ralph, not the more famous Oliver) "would sweep the floor". Even the editor-translator appears a bit confused by this.

Welcome back! After double-checking the document and adding in some complaints I missed the first time around, I have some numbers! In total, 72 accusations were levelled against named persons by 10 out of 16 monks living at Bardney Abbey. (cont)
