@Core_French It is in everyone's interests to have refreshed educators and a system that is prepared to welcome back students effectively in 2021. A few boards have dedicated Monday Jan 4th for staff meetings, contacting parents, and getting this sorted out. I believe that to be prudent.

@calphonso @Sflecce Yeah sure! Already sent home all GECDSB students last week...how do we get them their work then? Board has known yet doesn't let staff get prepared. Then just more stress and work for us in front lines and not those in authority

A memo from @Sflecce and deputy education minister to school boards says that boards should “encourage students and staff to take home any materials that they may require for remote learning before they leave school for the holiday period” just in case.

So a teacher tests positive. Do they quarantine for 14 days? Are those sick days? Who pays for them? Will they still be required to teach while in quarantine? #COVID19

When doctors are telling teachers to update their wills, that's a sign that @Sflecce and @fordnation need to invest whatever it takes to ensure a safe school reopening in Sept. A cheap reopening simply won't do. One teacher #COVID19 death is one too many. Who is with me? #OntEd
