@TylerHuckabee @ButtercupPB If you watched all of Howerton‘s sermon (which I doubt anyone has), he says that and I agree. But if people like you would encourage modesty instead of only shaming men, maybe women would change and make it easier on men.

Pastors who think they’re solving a problem in the church by shaming little girls for dressing in a way to get males’ attention should be removed from the pulpit. Stop watching p*rn, confess your s*xual sin, and stop blaming little girls and instead protect and dignify them.

@ButtercupPB @TylerHuckabee And I don’t go to the beach or public swimming. I don’t need/want to be around nearly naked women. Some places are choices. Work, store, church are not. Put some clothes on. This isn’t difficult. 2/2

What happens when you go to the beach or a swimming pool? People go to those places all the time and don’t have to run away just because they see a woman in a bikini or a man in a speedo.

@Brcremer 180° reversed. Women and men are equal, but have distinct roles. It’s telling women they can do things God never designed that is actually degrading. Matriarchy is always the greater sin.

I believe patriarchy has corrupted Christianity to such an extent that we have developed entire biblical interpretations and theologies to justify not seeing women as equals, then we turn around and say “that’s just God’s will.”
Patriarchy is a sin that dehumanizes women.

Because maybe - just maybe - they think it’s okay to do the things this pastor is telling his church to be against. Sex is great anytime. Women run the show. Men are sexed up jerks. Depend on the government, not a husband. Deny biblical gender roles. 5/
