as I have been saying for 2 weeks.....and in recent days all of the "experts" are saying, this would be the most suicidal military move...
1. Iran is not going to just allow a convoy of MEUs with a few thousand Marines through the straits to get to the island. We are in a war, they will sink them
2. An airborne assault out of Kuwait, or a fucking airborne parachute drop as the other option is ridiculous
3. The island is 15 miles offshore from the mainland...literally in fucking MORTAR range at least.....drones and missiles and artillery will just pound the tiny "excursion" of troops on a tiny island that has no bunkers, no where to hide
4. Zero logistical support for any troops that actually get there

All areas had a butchers, a green grocer a hardware store and a pub and so on. Even a little market a few days a week. All owned by members of community. It all changed when shops like @tesco @sainsburys opened up soulless shops and forced those places out of business.

I completely understand the frustration of British cities no longer looking “English” but can I ask why English businesses have stopped trading in these same places they complain about. I hardly see independent English/white owned fruit and vege, corner shops, butchers, restaurants etc WHY??
There are plenty of empty buildings up and down the high street- so why can’t you English pull your finger out? Can’t be bothered? Poor work ethic?
If there is an empty building and no one is taking out a lease or buying it who’s English, what’s wrong with Asian, Middle Eastern businesses setting up shop

Eurostar Tip: A little tip for anyone in the UK who likes to travel via Eurostar, and is relatively flexible- they have a semi-hidden ticket type called 'Eurostar Snap', where you can regularly travel for like £70 return.
You can only specify that you want to travel morning or afternoon, then a couple of days before travel they let you know the exact time of the train they've put you on.
