@StaciaKaywood I think social media accounts have a lot to do with this tbh, I started a book club back in June last year and over the last 3 years all I seem to see is sports romance - mainly ice hockey. Which is trending like the plague on my book account feed and my personal one too. So sad

Not in a good place and seriously questioning being an author. Why write when you have no readers? I’m going to wallow in my feelings of mediocrity and self-doubt. And come back tomorrow hoping for a sign that things will be better. So until then my loves. Have a beautiful day.

So y’all remember my husband, the non-reader who recently started listening to audiobooks? Last night we watched the movie Homestead. It’s based off of one of the books he read recently, Black Autumn. Throughout the movie, he’s saying things like: “oh, I loved this part of the book.” “Hmm, they changed this from the book.” “Ugh, they did not do this part justice.” This would probably annoy some people but I was ecstatic. The best thing he said was “I see why books are better. The movie is like someone splashed paint on a canvas. The book is like someone painted a masterpiece.” 🥹🥹🥹

@ChrystalMAuthor I’ve read a book with the author using the c word for the ladies parts in multiple sentences and phrases in the book but then another sentence in the next paragraph they have used the medical term or fanny instead. The C word was used excessively and really ruined the story 4 me

Do you write profanities in your novels? Mine are riddled with them, and people seem to get really offended. Are we censoring ourselves like this in today’s world?

@eswater_care @ESWH2O every month I pay my bill on the date you set it as, then at the end of said month I get a red letter saying I haven’t paid and need to pay you 😡 I ring you everytime this happens to be told I don’t need to worry as it’s showing as paid - SORT IT OUT
