If you noticed the Whole Foods hot bar isn’t what it used to be…you’re not alone.
They’ve been owned and operated by Amazon for quite some time now.
And that can come with what is called “operational efficiencies.”
Pre-Amazon customers say
• Natural ingredients
• Local sourcing
• Scratch cooking
Post-Amazon customers say
• Feels mass-produced, low-quality
• Food is bland/poorly seasoned
• Almost every dish has seed oils
Ingredient lists are long for fresh cooked foods with additives that clash with Whole Foods’ early natural‑foods ethos.
Employees even now report hot bar offerings became more standardized across stores, with many items pre‑packed, and reheated rather than from scratch.
And if you go another level it gets worse.
From the investigative reporting we’ve seen to date, their 365 chicken is likely produced in good part from Perdue and other Big poultry producers.
The same report showed their private label beef is from Tyson Foods.
Whole Foods publicly clarified hat it carries beef from Tyson-owned Open Prairie but said it does not carry Tyson poultry.
As a reminder this is widely perceived to be one of the healthiest grocery stores filled with meat from conventional farms and cooked with industrial ingredients.
The lack of transparency in the grocery store is exactly why shopping at local farms is the future.
Without transparency comes drops in quality and the consumer getting something completely different from expectations.

Your washing machine runs at 57°F. The CDC says bacteria die at 160°F. That's a 103-degree gap between what kills pathogens and what you're actually using on your underwear.
And Procter & Gamble spent the last five years making sure you'd widen it.
They enlisted Ice-T, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the NFL, Walmart, Samsung, NASA, and the World Wildlife Fund to convince America to wash in cold water. Cold water loads went from 48% in 2020 to 57% in 2023. Their Cold Callers campaign alone drove a 39% sales lift for Tide.
The reason is carbon math. 90% of washing machine energy goes to heating water. P&G needs cold water adoption to hit net-zero by 2040. So they built campaigns around "$150 savings a year" and ran them during peak inflation. The sustainability math works. The microbiology doesn't.
P&G's own internal data, published in a peer-reviewed microbiology journal, showed 44.7% of US households now wash over half their loads on cold. The same paper found that enteric bacteria require hot water, bleach, or both to reach acceptable risk levels. Cold water with regular detergent leaves viable pathogens on fabric.
A University of Arizona study found 44% of home washing machines tested positive for fecal bacteria in the drum. Front-loaders are worse: a 2025 Frontiers in Microbiology study measured bacterial loads nearly 1,000x higher in front-loaders than top-loaders. 90% of bathroom towels carry coliform bacteria. One load of underwear can release 100 million E. coli into the wash water. And at 57°F, that bacteria doesn't die. It transfers to the next load.
P&G solved their carbon problem by creating your hygiene problem. The $150 you save on energy is buying you a washing machine that functions as a bacterial trading floor.

@ze_rusty get a SDR radio and right antenna and you can easily measure 8-20ghz

> guy buys TriField TF2 to check his EMF exposure
> tests his router: 2.4 GHz.. meter peaks
> tests his phone: 700-2600 MHz.. meter peaks
> installs Starlink on his roof
> points meter at the dish
> reads ZERO
> "huh, totally safe I guess"
> Starlink broadcasts at 10.7–14.5 GHz
> TriField tops out at 6 GHz
> Safe and Sound Pro II tops out at 8 GHz
> no consumer meter covers 8–20 GHz range
> ZERO
> the measurement gap isn't filled by any product at any price under $5,000
> FCC certified it safe in 1996
> using standards that only measure heat

MrBeast says once enough airlines offer Starlink, he’ll only book those flights: “Extra layover? Don’t care—there’s Starlink. I’ll sit anywhere for it. Starlink is amazing.” He adds: “Most people haven’t used it, but in Antarctica it was our only signal. On a four-hour drive through rural Africa, we mounted Starlink on the car and had perfect connectivity the whole time.” On SpaceX: “What Elon Musk is doing will fundamentally advance humanity in unimaginable ways. Someone will go to Mars in our lifetime—I truly believe it.”

@NoahRyanCo Every job. That's why no one actually does their job anymore.

You cannot go anyhwere in the US anymore without feeling taking advantage of. Every restaurant, every lease agreement, every purchase. Everything is so blatantly predatory. Like they don't even care to be subtle about the fact that they're operating in bad faith.
And we're all just submissive to it

@DocPriyamMD Quit being a pussy and just IV push some lasix and start some drips. Lasix isn't going to kick in that fast.

A 1st-year resident ran up to me during my night shift, looking completely pale.
"Sir, we have a problem in Bed 4. I don’t know what to give first."
The Patient:
1. Known Case of Heart Failure.
2. Gasping for air, lungs full of crepitations.
3. JVP hitting the jawline.
4. Grade 4 pitting edema (legs look like they are about to burst).
The Catch:
I looked at the monitor. BP was 70/40 mmHg.
The junior whispered: "Sir, the textbooks say Diurese the 'Wet' patients, but the ACLS says Fluid bolus for Hypotension. If I give Lasix, his BP hits zero. If I give Fluids, he drowns in front of us. What do I do?" I replied....

I think it's hilarious that some people think I should train for 14 years after high school, take q3 call and get woken up for nonsense every third call and real cases every fourth, keep them from bleeding to death through a literal pin hole, or save their life from various causes of sepsis FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME.
I love taking care of patients and think what I do is the coolest thing in the world, however with all the bullshit *gestures around broadly* I would strongly advise you get off my back about my pay.
If you think for a second I won't sell my house and truck and move into a mobile home to live out my days with my dog, you're SORELY mistaken.
I came from the dirt and would return to the dirt. Don't try me.
Fix medicine and we can have a reasonable discussion about pay. Start with firing half of the people with an administrative title. You don't need to screen them. They aren't needed.

@PaulGadsden82 Hmmm, let's do a B12 vitamin test and nothing else at all.
English

@ChristinaPushaw Same at Universities. Professors get paid almost nothing, meanwhile tuition is out of control because administrators keep hiring more administrators to sit at a desk.

@MaskedHottiee Hardly anyone is actually doing their jobs anymore. Mostly just going through the motions.

@TheLaurenChen Time to get guinea hens and chickens. Opossums too, but they'll eat your chickens.

We're not going to eradicate ticks because this is all intentional
They literally engineered ticks as bioweapons to deliver things like meat allergies to the population
2026 is set to be the biggest year for tick-borne illnesses

We need to eradicate the ticks Not enough people are talking about this It’s becoming an epidemic

@NomadFieldOps @Getinwithgame What's the best response to BPDs when they are nagging?
English

@2LightBlueEyes @Getinwithgame They are usually delusional with victim mentality. Usually some over compensating in there from lack of self-worth. So they constantly flip the script to blame shift. So, yeah.
English

@yamanakanobody Crazy subcultures. Not just imitation. People don't litter. Cuteness is high too.
English

@NomadFieldOps @Getinwithgame How so? BPDs just nag no matter what?
English

@Getinwithgame Also for BPD’s and has nothing to do with attraction or even reality

@BioavailableNd Warlording needs no social media. The value is inherent, not for show.

@SaysSimulation This is the endgame. Initially the Dollar will rally while all the other currencies falter.
