Don’t see why it would be a consideration for Tesla. If they are truely able to widely offer cybertaxi at the prices being suggested, then the customers will be easily drawn to Tesla over Uber. Waste of cash for TSLA to buy a Uber for a customer base as the Uber customers would easily switch to TSLA anyway and there is no moat/barrier held by Uber to prevent that.

Tesla is ending one-time FSD purchases across Europe on May 21, 2026. This includes the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, and others. You have two weeks to buy FSD outright before it's gone forever and switches to a subscription model. One-time FSD purchases end in the Netherlands on May 15, 2026.

Hard to justify the upfront payment if you have a vehicle with only HW3 and there is no clear path towards FSD. There will be a potential upgrade of hardware but also unclear whether this will be include for free within the 7,500 upgrade or if that upgrade will be an additional cost down the road

The app is good, but the user interface is a bit clunky in the sense that it's not fully integrated into iOS and one has to jump back and forth between other apps. At the same time, it's very expensive to buy the subscription. I have raised a question to Aqua Voice in terms of support for my iPad. They have not responded in four days despite some follow-ups, and that also doesn't give me great confidence to spend a lot of money on a product where the customer support is really not prioritized.

HW3 came out in 2019 - if you happened to be one of the last people to buy it in 2023 that’s bad timing, but that’s still nearly 3 years of free meaningful software updates. No other car company has given as many free updates with as much functionality as Tesla has. Do you get mad when your 3 year old iPhone doesn’t get the new updates that the current gen one does?

NEWS: Dutch regulators (RDW), which just approved @Tesla FSD (Supervised) in the Netherlands, have just issued an official statement: "Due to the continuous strict monitoring of the driver in the vehicle, the system is safer than other driver assistance systems. We have thoroughly researched and checked this system, more than a year and a half. The RDW has issued a type approval for Tesla's driver's assistance system, FSD Supervised. This driver's assistance system has been extensively researched and tested on our test track and on public roads for more than a half years. Safety is paramount for the RDW. The proper use of this driver's system makes a positive contribution to road safety." This approval from the RDW clears the path for approval in other European countries. Tesla owners in the Netherlands will be receiving FSD (Supervised) on their cars shortly. Amazing day!
