@RenaultIndia Last month, the Renault Duster stopped in the middle of the road. We took it to the workshop. They replaced the battery. The same problem occurred again within one and a half months.Even today, the vehicle stopped midway. We are getting different explanations each time.

@throttleandtech Brakes in DCT variant was really good. In Manual top end for some reason they don't have all wheel disc brake, that is only offered in Automatic.

@volklub I rejected Seltos Petrol DCT for Duster purely for the drive and better suspension.

While buying your new car, what was the 2nd closest choice of car that you rejected and for what reason? For exp: I rejected Seltos Turbo DCT in 2020 to get VW T-Roc because I felt that Seltos isn't as well built. Lately picked GLA over iX1 because iX1 / X1 were not having All-Wheel-Drive option. These insights will help many customers and brands too. Thanks

@3poundsram Glad the guide helped! So T2 make with delivery now is completely normal — 1-2 month gap between manufacturing and delivery is standard in India. All cars having same trim date just means dealer got a batch from the same production lot. Nothing to worry about here.

@throttleandtech Today completed the PDI of my Duster based on your Renault Nissan PDI guide. It was super helpful kudos to you have for creating this guide. I had one doubt, everything in PDI checked out as per the guide. But the make of the car as per VIN was February (T2)....

Sales person mentioned that it was removed during yard to showroom movement for PDI. ODO reading was 67KM including 25 KM for the movement. Are these valid concern to reject the alloted vehicle? Can this have been a display vehicle used earlier and alloted to me?

Is this anything I need to be concerned? Should I reject the vehicle and request new one? All other boxes ticked during our PDI.

But all showroom vehicles for test drive and display had T3. Surprisingly all vehicle including mine had same trim date. My car had 0 plastic wrapper, SA said it was removed during car movement for PDI from yard. The ODO was at 67km which also included 25km yard to showroom move.

@volklub Not much helpful for people commuting to office daily with 70-30 usecase This turbo DCT might face even more heating issues than std 1 L turbo ones Only main benefit for highway usecase

Four cylinder turbo cheaper than NAs 👌 As a customer and someone who advises hundreds daily, I’m genuinely happy with Duster’s pricing. Good to see strong options emerging under ₹15 lakh today, across both ICE (Petrol, Diesel) and EV. Brands are clearly pushing hard for volumes, and that’s exactly what benefits customers.

@volklub @volklub Major confusion with hybrid era picking up by 2027. Should someone wait before buying a car. Especially those who are upgrading from their 1st car, should we wait for hybrid era with our old car.

1500+ per month km is a must if you are buying a Diesel car in 2026 especially for highway runs. 1500 km is a threshold because no journalist can openly say that we are in a end game of Diesel. States will come hard against them in 4-6 years. We have seen that in NCR. Running condition cars were forcibly put off the roads. This pattern will follow to generate revenue from new cars & Diesel cars are the soft target. So by 7-8 years, you will still end up driving 1.50 lakh km or more in your Diesel car if you buy it today. Diesel engines definitely can run lakhs of km but we have seen hostile attitude of authorities against it. Please be aware while making a purchase.
Autocar India@autocarindiamag

Actually it’s not how much you run your diesel but how you run your diesel that impacts the DPF. Running 500km a month only on highway less likely to create issues than running 1500km in slow traffic. Just clearing some misconceptions 🙏

The main author of DALL-E at OpenAI, Aditya Ramesh, has no graduate degree. He has a bachelor from NYU. He worked on a couple of research projects in my lab in his last years. He wanted to do a PhD after graduating. But he did a summer internship at OpenAI, and they kept him.

If you work as a data scientist or a machine learning engineer, and you don't have a graduate degree (Masters or Ph.D.) reply below. I'd love to ask you a few questions.

If you genuinely claim to believe in the singularity I generally assume you 1. Don't have that much practical experience building ML systems 2. Are a bit gullible (sorry) 3. Are selling something or 4. Are redirecting the conversation to protect your financial interests

I am getting calls from friends/ family in India about COVID. From neurosurgeons to urologists, doctors are being roped in to handle the crisis. 1/ Having managed pts with COVID for the last year & having the luxury of time, here are my thoughts for those new to this battle.
