So what happened to Hantavirus? Barely heard anything about it lately. Did the media abandon it when the fear mongering didn't work🤔

@DSeymoursLife Moved to a sleepy little beach town that didn’t even have an inpatient hospital for 25 minutes. Swamped with angry north east retirees. No addition to work force. Mass exodus of Drs. We can’t get screamed at every day. Schools horrible and can’t attract young working age people

I am so sick of people. Our entire way of life disappeared in under 10 years. We went from country living to bumper to bumper traffic, homeless, crime, middle aged blue hair yankee women, in a blink of an eye. The locals got gentrified while South Carolina got conquered.
AF Post@AFpost

Where Americans moved to and from in 2025. Massachusetts experienced the most loss of any state, Kansas the most of any Republican state, and South Carolina grew the fastest of any state. In contrast, Delaware grew the fastest of any Democrat state. Republican states dominated in growth overall. Follow: @AFpost

@TaraServatius It’s very bad. Majority is retirees that are not working and mean. Transplants that do not want to assimilate. Entirely broken coastal SC healthcare. No improvement in schools or infrastructure = no new doctors. I can’t take it. About 30 gave notice for early retirement. Not safe

@MayorFrey This is a day for veterans that gave the ultimate sacrifice. Not a criminal that ODd. It is also not a day for Walz and his wacko wife for the nostalgia of burning cities and business. This is a day of bravery not of fear for a hellcat dealership.

@JOSEPH45075332 It was my personal home. The banks want your business. They also have good healthcare programs that they don’t hold your student loans against you on debt to income ratio. They are betting you are good for it if you keep your business banking with them. (Private practice)

Great list For young doctors about to graduate and move I’ll add Do NOT buy a home if you are taking your first job 50% of docs do not stick with that first job and noncompetes guarantee you’ll be moving again Paying closing costs twice in 2 years costs more than the benefits of homeownership You can build equity later Rent a nice place and don’t add the headache of buying to the headaches of moving and starting your first real job (Speaking from experience)

🔥 Buying your first home is an exciting journey filled with big dreams and new possibilities. It’s a major step towards building your future and creating a space that truly feels like your own.  But let’s face it, this ... f.mtr.cool/vnczualkpr

@402sld @DrDiGiorgio @402sld Exactly. When practices need extra staff just to battle software, claims, and compliance, that is not efficiency. It is administrative drag. Those costs always get pushed somewhere, and usually not in the patient's favor.

You have no idea how much more physician capacity would be created if you just take away all the regulations stopping us from building. There is no doctor shortage. There is only a regulation excess.
Palmer Luckey@PalmerLuckey

@mcuban The biggest hospitals etc are already running the system more or less as they want. The question isn't what they would do with less government control, it is what kind of competition would spring up. Doctors would be allowed to start/co-own hospitals again, for example.

@DoctorTokuhara @DrDiGiorgio We just had an office meeting about freaking Forum. The image lag and attachments before I can even go in and review. I don’t have scribes but an extra COT/ MA I don’t need. Extra lady just for fighting with rejected claims and 2nd doesn’t drop electronic. Plus $850 for DEA? Nuts

@DrDiGiorgio I run my own practice. Two full-time scribes just to keep up with documentation. More employees handling administration, HR, and compliance than actually delivering patient care. That is not a staffing problem. That is a system design problem.

@MarilynHeineMD @OckhamsRazor4 Pull Stark laws. Facility fee needs eval. FDA on equipment approval. Everyone eligible HSA even without insurance to encourage DPC. Pull all 501c for hospitals. Senators on state Medicaid. Eliminate managed Medicaid and Medicaid Dual MA. Seems like a good start.

@MarilynHeineMD @OckhamsRazor4 Solutions are sadly easy. Pull MIPS. HHS takes over coding from AMA. Outlaw Medicaid federal. Eliminate Medicare Advantage as a combo of A, B and C. Let it be its own version of C. D is federal for bulk discount. FTC sues insurance. Flat rate med with balance bill. RICO PBMs.

Physicians are leaving clinical practice 9 years earlier than they did in 2008, AMA study finds "The reasons…have shifted since the last time researchers took a national look." 'hassle factor' (44.7%) and 'too stressful' (44.5%) as leading reasons cited. medicaleconomics.com/view/physician…

@FixnBones I make 40 percent less that 2000. Add equipment expense, in office equipment and supplies- 60 percent on max hours. I’m done. Actually hate my job to my very core. Not worth my family or marriage. I’m exiting and never return. Same with husband.

As a PP orthopaedic surgeon over 26+ years, my collection rates across all payors/ non-payors, averaged 33-35% ( 40% SM/30% Joints/ 20% trauma, the rest hand and other). That’s before overhead. That’s before taxes. Gross collection %. Imagine any one else working for that compensation %. Overpaid?!? 🤬😡🤬
salaryDr@SalaryDr

A general surgeon's gross billings for a typical case: $3,500–$5,000. The surgeon's take-home on the same case: often under $1,000. The hospital, billing company, and insurer split the rest. Before you call doctors "overpaid," look at where the money actually goes.
