And now you’ve got the Navy fans bringing up CVA01. Knighton really strikes me as an Eisenhower kind of character

I honestly feel really sorry for Knighton. He’s only been CDS for six months yet all the failures of his predecessors are bearing down on him. He’s also a breath of fresh air. He breaks the dogmatic Pilot/Aircrew based system in the RAF, and gives precedent to the support arms

Well-placed source says Chief of Defence Staff has "lost the confidence of No. 10" and "stands a good chance of requesting early retirement. ... He has failed to give the PM military capability, but also diplomatic and political credibility." @spectator #selection-1899.0-1899.90" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">archive.is/93NE8#selectio

@leonidragozin I hate this constant repetition of Venezuela and Iran being allies - they’re trading partners, like any other country. Continuous straw men arguments

Expectedly, Russia’s very special relations with Israel are a key component in Moscow’s reaction to the attack on Iran. Israel is not joining anti-Russian sanctions and it’s not supplying crucial weaponry to Ukraine. It’s a pact, at least no less important than Russia’s pact with Iran. I mentioned it in this piece. aljazeera.com/opinions/2026/…

NEW with Bloomberg Russia team: — Russia is dismayed by US and Israeli attacks on Iran but mostly powerless to aid its ally, and sees potential benefits for its war on Ukraine, according to five people familiar with the matter. — Demand for air-defence missiles from Gulf states means there may be fewer resources for Ukraine, while US weapons sales for use by Kyiv may slow if the Iran war becomes prolonged, two of the people said. — While the downfall of another ally after Assad and Maduro is a loss for Putin, the jump in energy prices, if sustained, may help ease pressure on Russia’s budget deficit and boost his ability to fund the war in Ukraine. It comes at an increasingly desperate time for Russia’s economy. — Discounts on Russian oil that doesn’t need to go through the Strait of Hormuz to reach key markets in India and China may narrow now, supporting the Kremlin’s revenue. It remains to be seen whether this will last long enough to significantly help Russia. — While Putin may not have known the full extent of Trump’s plans, Russian officials were given a strong steer by Israeli counterparts about the seriousness of his intentions in Iran in the weeks before the operation, other people with knowledge of the matter said. — As with Maduro, Putin has done little to aid his ally Iran beyond criticising the US operation, they said. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

@LS_Shady1 @PunishedFredda I mean it is meant to captivate the era, but when people say this outside the context of the show, they need to be corrected.

@4ewe7 @PunishedFredda unfortunately it’s not just Variety being retarded. I love For All Mankind but sometimes they do just call Soviets, Russians, and sometimes they say just say “Russia” instead of Soviet Union. praying that they don’t ruin star city 😭🙏🏼

@GuyPlopsky @conflictarm Why can’t have Russia already replenished its reserve stock pile, and then operated on a hand to mouth basis?

Spoiler alert moron, fighter jets normally do get delayed, let alone when you enter a war. And can’t make a single engine jet? Wtf kind of coke are you on? The VKS has since the 90s ALWAYS insisted on two engines. @GeorgeN28581 can testify it this and how it was moronic

Reminder that the MiG-25 was absolutely a paper tiger that sparked the rush to design one of the most successful multi-role platforms to date. Even the F-15EX being produced today.

The travesty continues. 8 artillery pieces not counted (including 1 pion at least), couple of MLRS, one SU-27 (at least). Still losing.
