There’s this guy that likes my cousin. Bro has been chasing her for over a year now, and I’m not even exaggerating when I say the guy is serious serious. He sends her lunch at work every day. He even paid her rent earlier this year. At some point, we all started begging her to just give him a chance because from everything we can see, the guy genuinely likes her. But my cousin refused. Her reason was that she’s a bit taller than him and, according to her, he doesn’t know how to dress well. Yesterday was her birthday, and she was lowkey expecting him to shut down Lagos for her. Omo, uncle posted engagement pictures on his status. He proposed to someone else 😭 Now my cousin has been crying since morning, saying she’s starting to develop feelings for him and that he should have tried harder. Women, our wahala is too much. 😂

@TomolaGroup @mamannajwa Nothing wrong with imports if it’s cheaper—otherwise you’ll be perpetuating poverty on the altar of expensive local production. A reduction in fuel prices means lower inflation and more disposable income especially amongst the masses.

World Bank told Nigeria to reopen fuel imports because Dangote’s fuel was 12% more expensive than imports. Dangote called it flawed. World Bank quietly deleted the whole report from their website. Meanwhile Europe is buying refined fuel from the same Dangote refinery because Middle East supply got disrupted. The same Europe that used to sell Nigeria its own crude back as petrol. You can’t make this up. An African refinery finally works at scale and the first recommendation is not invest more, not expand capacity. It’s bring back imports. When Africa consumes nobody says a word. When Africa refines and competes suddenly it’s a problem.

Tonight, I am proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with fellow leaders of our great party, the African Democratic Congress, in a decisive meeting to determine the next phase of our determined progress. Our mission is clear and our resolve unshakeable—to build the ADC into a formidable force that will not only unseat a failing ruling party but also rekindle hope, restore dignity, and bring Nigeria back to the path of purpose and prosperity. –AA

Congratulations, I always wonder where this verynstrong compulsionnto rationalise ourselves to absolute strangers comes from. To be simple in life you have to give the middle finger to a lot of fringe opinions. Its you walking your own road, and these strangers hardly know where you're coming from... Amid the flood of felicitations following my convocation as Overall Best Graduating Student of LAUTECH, I find it necessary to address the stir around my NELFUND appreciation post. I accept the praise, life changing offers and the backlash, in good faith. Still, it is only fair to set the record straight. I hail from a village in Osun State, raised in a modest family of five. I attended public primary and secondary schools, not by choice, but because even the most inexpensive private schools were beyond our means. Even then, survival itself; food and clothing was a daily struggle. I walked miles to school each morning, while my parents laboured as jacks-of-all-trades to make ends meet. For nine defining years before I entered university, we lived within sight of basic amenities yet beyond our reach, no electricity, no television; just lanterns and candles. Against these odds, I earned a scholarship and now this distinction. In my third year, a coursemate’s father, someone I had once tutored academically, gifted me my first smartphone which I am still using till now. On several occasions, lecturers, moved by quiet compassion, provided me with clothing. There are many other instances, too numerous to recount. So, I say this plainly, not all of us are born with a silver spoon. Some of us climbed the ladder by holding on to every rung of legitimate support we could find. As an engineering student aspiring to make academic history, should I resort myself to blaming my family’s financial situation for my inability to afford fees and essentials like a reliable smartphone or laptop needed for skills and certifications? For me personally, NELFUND was not incidental; it was instrumental and to acknowledge what helped one’s journey is neither propaganda nor misplaced allegiance. It is simply an act of appreciation. Thank you @NELFUND and everyone that contributed to this success! Greatness awaits all of Us.

I’ve said this before. Forget the USD. Look at our neighbors. 3/4 years ago, the Naira was almost double the CFA, now it has crashed to less than half of the value of the CFA. Meaning if you go to Cotonou today, you need three times as much Naira than in 2021. That’s messed up

Atiku’s camp says he’s mentored people, just won’t name them. That response proves the point. Grooming isn’t a secret operation. You don’t need a press conference to confirm it. As disliked as Tinubu is in certain quarters, you dont need a dibia to know his men.. You can see his people governing states, running councils, occupying offices everywhere. That’s what real succession looks like. At nearly 80, if your political legacy requires a guessing game, you don’t have one. Esther isn’t wrong. Atiku’s entire political career has been a one man show. If hes not a direct beneficiary, bring the house down Thats Esthers point.. Those disagreeing as usual are D.I.S.H.O.N.E.S.T people

Nah! That isn’t what the SC said! Their ruling was more nuanced than that. They essentially said that it was an internal affair as long as the law suit DID NOT lay out what electoral laws, INEC guidelines or party constitution clauses were broken.
Thεό Abu@TheoAbuAgada

The Supreme Court of Nigeria in its ruling held that internal leadership and membership disputes of political parties are domestic/internal affairs of the parties and are generally not justiciable. Why are the lower courts entertaining leadership disputes in the ADC?

@SirJarus Ideally, any informed person should know that it’s impossible to win a presidential election through rigging unless you can rig nationwide—which is virtually impossible.

So who defeated him? 1999 - Was it Olu Falae's AD/APP that was in disarray and had no spread beyond SW and some parts of the NC that defeated him? 2003 - Was it Buhari's APP that never bothered about South that defeated him? Or AD that made the fatal mistake of not even fielding a candidate? 2007 - Was it Buhari that was, again, hardly reckoned with outside NW and NE that defeated him? Or Atiku's ACN that was only popular in Lagos. Were their riggings in all those elections? Yes, like those before them and those after them. But Obasanjo/PDP won all those elections, even if you take out rigging. He defeated Falae, Buhari x2 and Atiku. You can't win presidential election with those regional arrangements, without national spread & foothood. Obasanjo's PDP had all that. They won.
Tukura🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬@Umarjumper

@SirJarus Those ones Obasanjo won, those were rigging.
