This never ceases to piss me off. If the athlete wants to get paid fine.
But you have the staffs at Gardner-Webb, Little Rock, Wyoming, etc. who do their homework and find overlooked gems and develop them into quality college wrestlers, then the big schools swoop in.

@MatScouts1 The flash takedown was something that was more easily definable. We may not have liked it but you can point to it in a ruleset and explain why it's scored that way. With reaction time 10 refs can see it 10 different ways that's the issue as I see it.

@MatScouts1 In the chat on the show I brought up the no reaction thing because I think it better serves the sport to err on the side of scoring. Make it easier to call takedowns and scoring situations than harder to call them. If td criteria is met for any length of time award it imo

You've said a couple different times at no point was he fully behind with the hand on the mat. This still photo shows different even if only for a moment. It's close tho

@6minspotlightwr @JustinJBasch Still photos can be deceiving. If you actually watch the sequence, as Max stands up and gets fully behind, the hand comes off the mat. It’s a cool sequence.

@cor4osu @wrestlingnomad That number in parentheses isn't their record it's their cumulative seeding criteria over the rest of the field. Vega has criteria over everyone but mendez in the seeding matrix is what that number means.
