Be so naturally good. Be so fucking competent. Be so exceptional in every domain of human performance that people have no option than to admire you, envy you or be magnetically attracted to you.

@tom_krikorian Until not too long ago, this would’ve been a line from a scifi novel “Once he reached the mountaintop, Tom connected to his home mainframe via satellite uplink, slipped on his virtual goggles, and explained the project to his AI agent”.

@PhillipAKennedy If you factor in his military retirement he was making well over $200k per year. Personally I think the answer here is simple: the $1.5M net worth figure is incorrect.

@timsmithrx @thetradingbro which government was this? The feds have a pretty standardized annual leave system & holidays policy that isn't particularly generous for new hires

@thetradingbro Yeah, the year I spent in government was great for that. Five weeks vacation, more than 10 sick days, all the stats, plus a nine day break over Xmas for no real reason. And maybe even a couple more I forgot about. That was great.

One of the few perks of government work is the absurd time off you can get. I’ve been on vacation for a week and don’t go back to work until the very end of the month. Then I work for 2 weeks, then on vacation again for 3 weeks. So basically most of July and august off work

@iamgingertrash Your brain wouldn't respond the way you think. Thanks to our hunter-gatherer ancestry, our seek/find neural algorithm rewards us with ample dopamine for scrolling until we find good content. Passively absorbing content just won't hit the same.

I would rather have a Personal X, where my own agent has crawled the internet, and built a feed of engaging content instead of sit here and scroll > Nikita’s Dopamine Drip Personal agents are going to end social media companies as you know it They cannot see it yet

If Lindsay Graham were assassinated, we would go to war. Do the toxicology and find out. Attends a diplomatic function and dies hours later. Something isn't right.

Despite raging against it for 2 yrs, in this context I kinda get the noble lies around Covid; let’s say it’s true Russia poisoned & killed a Senator…then what? There’s no *realistic* proportionate response so whatever we did would look weak…which is a double humiliation
Jon Levine@LevineJonathan

Lindsey Graham dies of a "brief and sudden illness" right after leaving Ukraine. Russia has a history of poisoning high profile critics  An autopsy MUST be performed

@LizMair No one is excluding that possibility. But if your mind isn't open enough to consider assassination given the current geopolitical reality and the fact that assassination tech that looks like this is real, then you are just in denial.

Guys, the overwhelming probability is that Lindsey Graham suffered a fatal heart attack, not that he was poisoned by Russians. I love a good “is a John Le Carre novel coming to life?” dabble as much as the next person but the dude was a Scottish-American male aged 71 almost certainly on statins. This is exactly the demographic that dies of sudden heart attacks, trust me.

@willthiel Globally, old men are the most influential & powerful demographic. Naturally, many die of natural causes. But given their prominent roles in govt, war, biz, etc, it’s not crazy to imagine some were targeted. Why is it “weird conspiracy shit” to speculate?

Lindsey Graham appears to be spawning some weird conspiracy shit already, so let me just say: 71 year old man dies of a heart attack at home after taking two long haul flights in under a week. The KISS answer here folks is a DVT that broke off and caused a heart attack. Move on

@thsottiaux Did anybody try its 3D spatial awareness? Opus 4.8 and Fable seem to be good with it. I love GPT-5.5's photorealistic image generation but 3D abilities are weak. Didn't get chance to try with 5.6 Sol yet, busy with refactoring frontend and I love what Sol does.
